Each and every time I have the pleasure of eating at Maurice's I count it a true blessing! When you walk in, smiling faces and familiar-sounding voices greet you. Our Southern symbols are everywhere! You'll notice how people act like decent Southern people should there. And the food... how can you beat BQQ, hash and rice, hush puppies, ice-tea, etc.??? You can't. Maurice had all his stock taken off the Wal-Mart and othe major grocery store shelves (where his products had done very well for years) because he refused to take down his Confederate flags. He stuck by us. He has undoubtedly earned our support. It's now time to support one of our own. Order a mess of 'Southern Gold' BBQ sauce today - you won't be sorry!

Did you know the inventor of this >  was also a Colonel in the Confederate Army and later became a Doctor, his name was John S. Pemberton from Knoxville and later Atlanta Georgia
