To be a spriter AT ALL, you must have these requirements:
obvious requirements:
1.A computer.
2.Internet access. well, if you see this fourm at all, you have it.
3.eyes.
important requirements
1.You must be interested in spriting. if you aren't, what's the point?
2.you must have an image editing program and know how to use one. anyone will do. plus, most computers have one already.
3.have at least one sprite sheet!
4.know any sprite sites.
5.you must be respectful about your sprites.
6.an imagination.
7.enjoy the progress of spriting.
Tips
1.use prespectives of other sprites or look in a mirror. Spriting is like drawing manga, but spriting can be easier.
2.listen to music. I do this all the time, and inspires me to sprite.
3.own a website or be part of a team. this greatly motivates you, and gives your sprites a good "home".
4.Use Emotions for some sprites. Sometimes you have to be a "cinderella", a "homophobe", or even the oppisite gender.
I hope this becomes a sticky, and this is unofficial unless I am a teacher. |
