Please be reminded that the closing date for Winter Priory entries is Sunday September 7.

Remember, zero tolerance from now on regarding lateness.

One day to go and only 28 entries received. Sad

There are going to be a lot of disappointed teams out there. Shocked

Remember, zero tolerance.

I can see the principle here because it must be really irritating getting so many late entries, but aren't we in danger of killing the league off if zero tolerance really is implemented?

How many teams would come back again if they got slung out?

This is not meant as criticism, just food for thought.

It's called Old Age. Wink   Everything starts to taste sour.  Then it becomes a black hole.

How many have applied from the space-time continuum formerly known as Outer Kent, P.C.? And, are we going to use PAR scoring?

I think that we've all fallen into the 'Black Hole' created by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiment on the Swiss French border.  Laughing  Laughing

I understand that Rodders are hoping to apply
My personal view is that it's been a great Summer experience for us all at the Mote, playing and meeting different folk. Having the challenge of mostly tough games week in, week out and finding that sporting behaviour isn't dead amongst those who are playing at the top of the tree in Kent. Hopefully all you Priory boys haven't found the experience of travelling to OK too bad and you'll have us back again next Summer if we're all around.
I'm sure some may be tempted to give Priory a bash if they get the offer, but I believe that as a team, we'll be staying in OK for the Winter season.

Still a couple of games to go but thanks for a very enjoyable Summers squash.

Unlikely to have been the LHC, OG.  Today they are only testing one-way at a time; no colliding (or black holes) are possible until two-way traffic is established 'some time later on'.  So, you can relax.  The end of Kent will have to be postponed. Wink

However, Rodders may be too late, unless they have already applied.

Rodmersham have already applied and are awaiting the response and (hopefully) good nature of the committee and the voting possee for approval to participate. Have enjoyed the Summer and look forward to a Winter of (not) discontent Smile  Smile With JB at 5 we may stand a chance Shocked  Shocked

Who thinks it's fair that, on the day we're supposed to be sorting out the Winter Priory divisions (8 days after the deadline), out of 55 entries, 27 have paid, 28 have not. 35 have returned the form, 20 have not?

Well what a surprise. Does that mean we have a 27 team league in total then? Zero tolerance and all that.

You wouldn't have thought it would be that difficult really (and I say this without knowing whether my club is paid up or a defaulter).

By the way - I don't have insomnia in case anyone is wondering ...

Good luck, P.C.   As always, Solomon's wisdom will prevail. Wink

Just out of interest, do you count multiple team forms as 1?  And are there some duplicates, e.g. teams that have paid but not sent a form in?

Next season, how about putting a blank form on the forum for those who don't see one. e.g. team captains who don't get circulated by their clubs and new clubs wanting to enter?

Bad luck about the insomnia, CL.  Are you working/training at night or in America?

Do you not have a form for each club, where they have to indicate the number of teams for that club that season and pay for all the teams on that one form like they do in the Outer Kent as, for Canterbury, if it was up to individual captains for each of our 4 teams to fill out a form and pay then it be a disaster!

Easier to get 28 forms for 28 clubs than 55 separate forms, no?

Also with teams with multiple clubs, no form, no teams,! so it motivates clubs with multiple teams (i.e park Langley) to ensure that all team captains get their sh*t together and pay up and collectively get the form and money sorted out!

Yes, those darned teams with multiple clubs.  Watch out for them! Wink

But agree with what you say about PL (apart from the s*** word).

Trouble is, some of the captains don't find out from their clubs what is going on until too late. Rolling Eyes    Maybe a list of all the different categories on the forum (no form, paid but no form, form but no pay etc.) a couple of days before the deadline would help, P.C. - if it's not any bother? Smile

The Winter Priory Season commences on Tuesday October 14th which is only 3 weeks away.

Fixtures will be sent out very soon to the 35 teams who have paid. The 19 teams who have not yet paid won't receive anything until they have done so.

Name and shame (I hope we are not one of the 19  Shocked ). How will we know they are our opponents or not?
