Dear Squash Player,
The Canterbury Squash Open 3rd – 5th April 2009
Thank you for entering this year’s tournament. You should have in front of you a copy of the draw.
There has been a fantastic response to the tournament and there are 49 players signed up to play. Because of this I have had to put some qualifying matches on Thursday 2nd April (as suggested on the entry form), otherwise there would be too many matches to play in the time allowed. Where possible I have tried to allocate Thursday games to local players and hopefully this won’t prove too much of an inconvenience to everyone involved. Due to it being unfeasible for those that have to travel a long distance to come down on the Thursday too, some players will have to play their qualifying matches on the Friday, as well as their 1st round matches.
Please contact me in good time if there are any problems with Thursday/Friday match times and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
All losers from Thursday and Friday will be put into the Plate on the Saturday.
On Sunday the final matches will be played -
Plate Semi’s 11am/11.45am
Main Semi’s 12.30pm/1.15pm
Plate Final 4.15pm
Main Final 5pm
There will be special offers at the restaurant and bar throughout the tournament, so spectators and players are more than welcome to stay and support the whole weekend.
And finally a reminder that the scoring is PARS to 11 this year. Help with marking will be needed and would be appreciated.
If you require any further information please contact me on 07779290524, or alternatively e-mail me at t.may@kingsrecreation.co.uk
Yours sincerely,
Tom May
