How many times have we heard "so who have you got at 2 then" or "whos playing 4 tonight" when teams arrive on tuesday nights, just so they can then change round there playing order to suit. This can win/lose matches and has caused many rows. Some teams are notorious for it. Yes you are allowed to swop the order around by 1 nomination but not once you know who's playing where for the oppersition.Cards should be filled out with the playing order before teams arrive. |

"Squashboy", thank you for your input. Please refer to Priory League rule 9b.
It's there for a reason! |

"On the fence"?, are you angling for a place on the Committee?
Your replies are uncannily like those of a Committee member. |

Good comments from "squashboy" - agreed.
As "On the fence" said, refer to rule 9b. He is right, it is there for a reason as in these cases. |

On behalf of "On the fence", the P.C. would like "squashboy" to refer to the website where you can find the rules.
Any problems and we will post rule 9b onto this forum. |

Very bloody true about the rules an all however, who ever fills out the card before and how could it be policed? |

Rule 9b includes the line :- "Failure to do this (exchange cards before a match) will invalidate any complaint as to the order of play".
I think that is self-explanatory. |

Yes, but the team that doesn't complete its half of the exchange is unlikely to be the one complaining, is it? |

Fair enough, so what do you suggest can be done? |

In some instances, where match is running late and there are no match-ups, changing order by mutual agreement to get things moving is good. Equally, changes due to form or injury, are understandable and could also be discussed by captains beforehand.
Changes for tactical or 'sacrificial lamb' reasons are the ones that cause grief. As well as affecting the result, they can mean that two players on each team do not get a reasonably matched game for their money.
I would propose 'one change from nominated order by mutual agreement'. |

Surely the answer is to turn up at the AGM and amend the offending rules. The more people that attend the more problems that can be ironed out |
