|
|
Hi all,
Canterbury Squash Rackets Club is hosting the inaugural Joe Lockyer Memorial Tournament dedicated to Joe Lockyer, one of our members who sadly passed away last year. He was a very keen doubles player and a tournament has been set up in his memory by his son, Dan and is kindly sponsored by Joe's former Law firm, Gardner Croft solicitors.
The date is set for Saturday the 1st of September 2007 and is an all day event. Entries are £20 per pair and include event t-shirts and BBQ food (you don't get free triple helpings, even if you're fat, I'm afraid!)
Prize money is £200 for the winners, £100 for Runners-up, £80 for Plate Winners and £40 for Plate Runners-Up.
BBQ is open to all spectators as is the bar, SO EAT!

Oh b*llocks, I'm away on this day otherwise I'd have certainly gone in for it. It looks like a great tournament. |

Hey Joe, how many entries so far? It looks like a great tournament and we should all get behind it..... more country missionary work, perhaps, for you squash evangelists from the big smoke. |

Hi Alan,
Not sure on entry numbers yet as Dan Lockyer is handling the entries. I think they might be restricting it to 24 pairs, but I know there's at least 7 pairs from Canterbury Squash club entering plus a few from Rodmersham have said they will enter so best get entries in quick! |

Any idea when the draw will be published for the doubles Joe?
You do realise that by playing doubles you should theoretically be able to last twice as long before you get injured |

Hi Andy,
If you want, you can email me (joe@cmstringers.co.uk) or Dan Lockyer (dan@danlockyer.co.uk) with your players names, club(s) you play for, email addresses and mobile and contact number and can pay on the day.
Regards,
Joe |
