The Facebook event for this tournament can be found at:
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=5226339565
Just a couple of extra points:
The Entry level will be capped at 48 players so please get your entries in early!!
The Tournament will be be held on the 7th-9th of December with Thursday the 6th being used for Qualifiers. The Top 16 seeds will qualify for the main draw and not have to play until Friday night.
Assuming there is a 48 player draw, the remaining 32 entries will play a qualifying match on thursday night. The 16 winners will join the 16 seeds in the 1st round of the main draw, the 16 losers will go to the plate where they will be joined by the 16 losers of the 1st round main draw to make up a plate of 32. If there are less than 48 entries then, wild card spots will be awarded into the main tournament with ability and location being taken into consideration. (i.e if you just missed out on a seeding and are having to travel from near london or further then it's likely you will be put straight into the main draw).
Entry forms need to be filled in and payment either posted or presented on the day of the players first match. I cannot accept "yea put my name in" or any verbal entries as I myself am not funding the tournament, the club is so its their rules!
And lastly!!! as the weekend will be quite busy courts wise, can everyone make sure if they enter that they are available to play during these days as things like:
"I've got tickets to see (insert premiership club1) against (insert premiership2 club2) at (insert premiership ground) at 3pm and need to get away by half one so can i play my quarter final straight after the 2nd round"
or
"my mates got his stag do on the Saturday and they're gonna start drinkin at 5 so is there any chance that...."
seem to crop up!!! its fine if the opponent can do it AND there is court available but the fewer disruptions the better!! |
