Jackal, I understand there's talk of you or the Welling Cup League putting up a little prize money for the 'B' tournament winner, is that the case?

If so, what a great way of promoting your league to all these Priory players. As I understand it, Gary's got a great response and there should be a draw of at least 32 players.

Maybe you could present the winners prize, then use the stage to let us all know a bit about the league?

Either way, good opportunity seized by all accounts.

Thanks PB In these days of declining interest in squash we should all be trying our best to support each others enterprises. No probs about the prize money, I look forward to a good tournament and attracting teams (of either sex!) to the Welling Cup!

Did someone mention Pinot Grigio , I like that chilled but like my women players hot!! Laughing

But somehow this is diversifying from the concept of attracting TEAMS not pairs of attractive young ladies to the Welling Cup.

I will be there at PBs request to present the prize money to the winner . . hopefully to myself!!!!! . . . but also to make a pitch for teams to come into the Welling. If application forms are needed please let me know and I can email them to any interested parties. The AGM is on the 24/9/06 at Cascades at 18.00 hrs  . .bring rackets!!!

Steve Franks (Jackal), thank you for putting up the £50 prize money for the "B" Competition winner on behalf of the Welling Cup.

Thanks also to Ash Taleb, whose sports shop will be providing prizes for the runner-up, Plate winner and runner-up. Details will be posted on the website in due course.

Sorry Jackal, Stella and On the fence are just teasers. Hopefully their input will be posted under more appropriate topics. Mind you, they seem to have captured your imagination. Wink

Steve, If you email me the entry forms, I'll get them on the site so people can easily print them off.

Also, have you been in touch with Tim Stainton about getting the Welling Cup on the site? I should imagine the fact results can be viewed online will definitely attract some interest.
