I've heard that.....
Ted Jeal is off to Bromley Cricket but Alex Martin (CD) was after him...
Amida will struggle bearing in mind the Purley team (Marc Aldridge, Jamie Wilde, Tony Webb) will be playing on a Tuesday night also...
Cascades talk of an Egyptian top world ranked player (MR. Shawbaggy) playing for them is simply hot air as usual...
Dulwich will have the strongest team by far with Tim Garner, Jason Barry, Paul Taylor, Andrew Moore and Will Brownsden oh and Daryl Selby (world top 40) thrown in just in case...
Biggin Hill have employed the services of Stacey Ross to spearhead their first team...
Tunbridge Wells are also to struggle with a very weak line up...
I'll have more soon... |

WT* [sorry, ML, had to delete the 'F'. a moderator has to be vigilant, at all times - JJ]! Where do you get this from, you've got it wrong with us though!
CD you're going for TJ? We haven't heard from the little Dark Horse in ages, he's fallen off map I think. I'm pretty sure I've also heard he's going to Bromley Cricket though. |

I heard he could be playing for BCC also, but the season's not started yet and he's a member at Amida so would be rude not to ask him |

Hello again people,
Ted Jeal, perhaps you can confirm I'm right?
ML, nice try but you know I'm right
I've heard only late last night that their could be more to the Cascades rumors than I thought. The Egyptian Shawbaggy has definately been approached and others have too! Would appreciate it if anyone else with an ear to the ground could provide some info for me?
Bexley's starting line is the usual Dwain Harrison, Mark Steedon, Matt Badger and I'm sorry I don't know the rest. |

You have it all wrong gossip. The PL2 team miss each other so much that we are reforming. lol
I have some gossip. The Sly fox has now joined another club and will not be playing summer at Park Langley.
Teddikins will not want to play at 2 behind Robbins so he may well be off but i hope he stays at Langley.
Marks off to Egypt Sunday he muttered something about looking at a couple of players and taking his cheque book.
Heard you bashed up Teddikins on Wednesday Cider Drinker well done that's a fantastic result. |

Excellent Gossip! put the cat amongst the pidgeons eh, what else can we come up with?
B. Ford propping up BH second team when avail.
Knowing BH they will probably have a few more surprises in store for the first team.
Last I heard TJ off to BCC who also have Martin Rintoul (not sure how his surname is spelt).
T.Wells have Kent 045 No1 C.Payne, not sure how strong they'll be further down the order.
Cascades always have been 'all sausage and no sizzle'. So will just have to wait and see with them.
As for the rest you could well be right. Watch this space!!
Thank god I will be only watching, but what a choice of matches to go to. |

Rodmersham will have no 1st team players available for any of their matches and would like all the other teams to go easy on them |

At four! So Clive what's your team?
I'm presuming James Robbins at 1, Steve London at 2, your new chap (but can't remember his name) at 3, you at 4 and Steve Pratt at 5? |

ML, I wouldn't count on that line out when they play BH or BH2 A little birdy told me for the top matches PL will have a new no1 with JR playing at no.2
At this rate we'll be insisting on the food and drink before the match |

Clive you've gone all quiet on me, keeping your cards close to one's chest I see??
Ted, how do you feel about playing behind Matin Rintoul? Also, is Ian and Kimpton not playing playing now that the new recruits are taking their places? |

So OTH, who's you're line up for this summer? Oh do you dare not say?? |

Can't say yet ML or they might not all be allowed out to play, don't think they've all got permission slips yet But have to say bit harsh having BH1 and Rodder's in our half |

Oh dear, seems like Cascades are going to be the dark horse of the league. Come on, you must be itching to tell people.. |

ML, no not published officially yet. PC had put the first games up on the website before having to take them off due to Amida's withdrawal. Shame they where in our half
We're just pleased to be able to play in the division. NB's working on his tan and pulling techniques ahead of his summer hol's Sick note can't go out doors because of his allergies Fatboy's just transferred working from Ed's to Krispy Kreme so Michelin man look out
Don't think we will be finishing in the same position as in the winter. I hear you have Stacy Ross as no1, Fasel's back in the country, plus Phil Nightingale. Am I correct? |

Not so fast, OM!
First, there's a picture of the Biggin Hill squad on the back page of today's Chronicle. Ugly bunch.
Second, ML's team (BHII?) is in a different league (RED) to oth's (BLUE). And by the time of the play-offs in August, most of them will be on holiday. So, expect lots of frantic (and devious) phone calls then. |

OM, I agree ML release his line up, NO chance He hasn't even confirmed the players I posted
JJ, BH1 in our half (oops) Mind games will commence No way do they want to let the summer crown go the same way as the winter TG better start phoning some more of his friends
Also have to agree with JJ as far as players away on hol's but I think ML, go squash, and Yoda (other wise know as DC) are playing a tactical game with us all here
So come on ML, there's nothing to fear here what's your first team line up |

From looking at the split in division 1, I would say that the red is the tougher half
P.S. like the picture today JJ |

Look guys, make no mistake, Dulwich will have the title this summer. Can you think of a team that is going to beat Daryl Selby, Tim Garner, Jason Barry, Paul Taylor and Andy Moore?
Would love to tell you our team but with the latest newcomers we've had to (with pleasure) make some adjustments.
Will keep you posted of course.
Tell me OTH, we know that Neil Baker wants to play at no.1 so who else can you put out that is really going to test the league? |

Not keeping quiet, just haven't checked in for a while. Good guess though. Not sure whether JR will play many. S.Cup is on Tues (just ask Amida). If Dulwich's lineup is as advertised then:
(a) Someone has deep pockets
(b) It's going to be a waste of time for them many weeks
(c) No-one is going to beat them
What is going on with little old Priory - I'm starting to think we've really lost the plot here. In some ways it's good, but it'll all end in tears - mark my words. Probably my fault for having the first paid player I suppose. C'est la vie. |

Alas CL you could be right, it might all implode, but in the meantime could be some very good matches to go and watch. |

You're right CL, I don't think anyone's going to get near to Dulwich this season expecially if they put that kind of strength out. Having said that I think their team is more likely to be:
Tim Garner
Jason Barry
Paul Taylor
Andy Moore
Will Brownsden
I agree with Alex99red in that there will be some cracking matches in the process, not least Tim Garner v Stacey Ross!!?? Any predictions for this one? |

CL, I think that it can only be good for our league in the future as it should inspire some new blood to play squash.
ML, come on what BH1's line up It's going to be miles stronger then ours I would like to arrange for a few juniors to come along... |

I thought it was the top two teams from each zone play in an additional mini league to find out 1 - 4. Then the same for the middle two and the bottom 2, that way everyone plays 16 games (same as a 9 team league). |
