Rumour has it Dulwich 1st team have suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of relegation battlers Biggin Hill 2..
Bromley LTC have also been beaten convincingly in their opening game of the season. Some of the players were said to be wondering what on earth they were doing playing at such a ridiculously high level |

News just in that Mote have been outclassed by relegation contenders Sundridge Park. It was said that the Priory league was to be a slippery slope for both teams. |

Gossip you hairy munter... CHECK YOUR FACTS!!!!!!
The Mote ALLSTARS beat Sundridge Park 4:1!!
With, I might add, the top two lads missing from the side.
We might not be able to mix it with the big boys (our budget won't stretch that far), but we'll do okay thankyou very much.
PS. Great evening, nice food and a great bunch of guys up at Sundridge. Enjoyed it... |

Well done guys, nice result! I see you're sitting pretty at the top of the table
One thing though, when entering the scores on the main site could you please add the surname of the person otherwise, Kevin, Darren, Sean etc is going to take a little guesswork for people browsing the site.
By the way, I see there were some close 3-2 battles in there too. Must have been tight?? |

Not surprising, with Low Calorie Cider Man (my Fantasy pick at 4th string if he can be had for less than £2.5m) playing at 4 - against last year's man of the season. No contest I guess the BH 1st team must be pretty weak, then. Probably just the old men and the former England Juniors. |

Rumour has it the hot air no hopers Cascades enjoyed a good spanking at the hands of the good geezers Rodmersham. Probably down to poor team selection from their guv'nor
By the way, didn't they get relegated last Summer Should they even be in Div 1 |

Anyone know how the might Rodmersham got on last night? Honestsquash is usually all over the site like a rash. You don't think they lost do you?? |

Hackerman, you mean you too have found out the Cascades line up? Strong isn't it.
By the way, my apologies go out to the Mote team for my prediction error. I just got my teams muddled up silly me. |

I'm new to this but, that doesn't look like Rodmersham's team? John Brewer, and Hunter play for them? |

Sorry I thought PJ was enquiring about our OK team
Priory is:
1 John Brewer
2 Malcolm Parker
3 Graham Harraway
4 Tom Woods
5 Martin Clarke
ML (you know you can trust me) but 5 of our registered 9 players cannot make Monday , are you allowed to registar additional players? |

Here they go again. Wasnt this the mob who were full of home grown players blah blah blah.
Now they cant get a team out again.
wasnt this also the mob who tucked up the hill in some cup with a fake weak team a while back.
wasnt this also the mob who declined to get a team out 3 times in the old boys league against maidstone
maybe the league should ask this lot when it would be convenient to play rather than setting fixtures for the season which people comply to.
wonder if the hill are going to get mugged again ? |

Very unlikely, as there are strict rules in Priory about not rearranging fixtures or playing on nights other than Tuesday. P.C. is already on the case, I'm sure. |

OTB, I think PC is playing fair. The problem is some clubs have more teams then others and they just don't have enough courts to be able to play all their teams games on a Tuesday. I know the Hillbillies have this problem as well as Cascades. PL are luck that their club lets them book out all 4 courts. I know Cascades won't allow that as it's a public centre. |

Looks like you where as right as normal Good call, please keep up posting like this, better motivation then any team talk by the governor. Think you should say sorry to the Rodder's boys as it was this post along with a couple of others that resulted in the team they played last night
Which club are you from If we are to play you we'll try and strength up as we wouldn't want to put out a "no hopers side" against yours |

oth - not sure whose side you are on on this one? BH, with 3 teams and only 2 courts, are allowed to have one team which plays home games on a different night of the same week; but they have to advise all opposing captains at the start of the season and can't then change the day unless the courts are in darkness. Do Cascades have a similar problem? |

Yes, Cascades do have the same problem. The centre has 4 courts but only two are fit to play on. Courts 3 and 4 don't meet England Squash or the leagues rules for courts. Thus Cascades only has 2 courts that a match can be played on. I wish that wasn't the case.
ML has always been a gent HS. For the last number of years they could not alone have won ever match 5-0 but, the opponents wouldn't have won many points let alone games
If they know your team 'the Hillbillies' will always put out a team that will win but, they will do it in a manor that everyone has a good game |

Rodmersham don't mind playing and losing, we only have 9 players registered, and 5 can't make it on Monday so we needed to re arrange to make a game of it against BH, we know we are in for a whipping, but wanted to at least turn up to make them earn the points.
It seems we have been more than helpful in playing Cascades last night and not Tuesday night, when they couldn't field their strong side due to the top two guys having other match commitments on "Tuesdays", and also Biggin Hill not able to play on "Tuesdays" so us waiting for their stronger team to be available originally on Monday, now being played on Wednesday next week
Rodmersham could get our team out on both "Tuesday" evenings as far as I know, so the comment about Rodmersham not taking notice of fixtures is a bit of the mark.
Excuse my ignorance but I am guessing there must be another league played on a Tuesday that is keeping the top guys from turning out against us. Perhaps it should be the other sides looking at the fixtures and not us!
Lets just hope that all sides can make it a level playing field and put out the same level of players for every match throughout the season.
Had a really good night with the Cascades players last night, and I had one of the toughest matches I have had over the last season, and we are all looking forward to the rest of the summer league. |
