So now that the BH v Cascades thing is out of the way, who are BH bringing down to entertain the crowds at the Mote? |

The Admiral's still out as far as I know but other than that I think it will be the usual suspects. |

The boy's on a very steep learning curve and is only going to get better. Can't be said for most of us.
He's probably going to be in his 50's before he has the playing experience (played as long as) of the JB's, NB's etc.
Give him to Soli or Ben Ford for 12 months and I'm sure that he'd be a helluva player. He has the speed, stamina and workrate necessary but still needs to learn some of the subtleties of the game.
For how much he's actually played he's excellent. |

Captain Cannon makes the decisions but I think JP's available. |

I agree with what you say but also there is a need for more important areas such as respect, perhaps less arrogance towards other players and his own team mates?
With this he could be a very dangerous player and well respected for the short duration he has been playing.
I say good luck to him and if he does learn which i am sure he will given his amazing career in badminton he will be a top kent player. |

It's just his sense of humour SJ. Anyone who's met him knows that he's always up for a laugh. Doesn't take himself too seriously and expects others to be similar. |

Gentelmen, our team will be...
Farzan Rasheed
Rory Pennell
Mark Lennox
Gordon McManus
Dean Newberry
I know people might think that's overkill however that's our team. Safe to say (and with no disrespect) Farzan and equivilents will be there to give whomever they play a good game and a good experience - it's hoped this will encourage not deter. Hope that makes sense |

Looks like Fortress Mote might be crumbling a little..!
Johnny's gonna have his work cut out!
Quick question: Was it Dean I saw playing Ishtaq at the Canterbury tournament the other week? |

PS... Agree with you, ML.
This season has given us the opportunity to get on court with some top players.
I just wonder who's on for getting the first 27-zap!!! I doubt it would be dished out from the gentleman of the Hill, or the good ol' boys at Rodders.
More likely the bandits from the Cascades..!
Sensei Stimpson will tolerate NO WEAKNESS!!! |

nah it wasn't Dean that played ishtiaq in the Danny Gamble tournament. That was Andy Long. He beat Dean 3-1 in the final of the Canterbury Open plate in April. |

I thought it was going to be poor Darren, when I was marking I was willing him to score his 1st point in the 3rd game. Can't have one of my nominated players being done 27-0 |

As The Pundit/ nee Robbo would say 'it would never have happened, he'd collapse on the floor at 26/0 down and concede the match'. |

Fair team, we'll try and give you a run for your money. I think that there will be a few challenges into the ladder system here.
This would have been quite interesting if the Admiral had been up for it. |

The Admiral would be out of his depth until he got to number 4 against that BH side, and then the squash skills of Gordon may show through.
I can see you may have a good game at 4 Oldgit, but predict a 5-0 or 4-1 loss for Mote....... |

Anything that we get will be a bonus and we're not under any illusions against any of the teams. We know that we're up against it, but if you don't stretch yourself then you're not going to improve.
Bit sad really, but even coming up 55, I still think I can get better and I know the other lads feel the same way about themselves. That's why we asked to be in.
No matter what the result, and whoever we all play, we'll enjoy the games. |

It's a shame Admiral Pietro is not playing because the likes of him, simon and PJ will benefit greatly by playing at this level consistantly. I'm sure even yourself OG and Canon are enjoying it it a masochistic sort of way, but you will definitely see the benefits in OK next winter. |

So what's the mote team then guys? Will JP be playing?
Either way we're looking forward to coming down and see you guys, not sure I've ever played at Mote before.
H.S. I'm sorry but it's doubtful Neil will be playing much as Farzan wants to play every week and Stacey is back and available from the 24th. When are you able to make a change? |

Sean Wardman gets a special mention this week for a superb win over Mark Lennox. Too busy cooking to see it all myself, but Sean came back from 2 - 0 down to win 3 - 2. I'm sure that my advice when he was 2 - 0 down of 'keep it away from him' and be 'the first to hit a winner' contributed massively to his performance over the next three games.
Pjnr had Dean's legs wobbling in the first but missed out on taking advantage, and SuperMac was far too tight for me.
Missed Farzan against Jonny and saw the start of The Admiral against Rory, with The Admiral going to a 5 or 6 -1 lead in the first but not being able to capitalise.
Overall an enjoyable match played in the right spirit in front of a good crowd. |

Not sure yet Was going to be Alex, Neil (so he could play Admiral, but said tonight he'd rather play JP), Ben, Fatboy, Sicknote.
So Alex probably won't play depending on player availability. That being the case team should be
Neil
Ben
Charles
Stuart

Phones 4 you had his birthday this week and his boss is making him work late next week so unavailable
Holiday's about to kick off and have to get team players their 2 games in so they can play in the last 4 matches (Who proposed increasing the number of games they play ML ). Short last night so BBGB stepped away from the bar and played for us, must say he put in a great performance (in the bar that is )
Ben Coleman and Charles Sharpe, youngsters, I'm sure the Allstars will be giving them the benefit of their experience. |

Sorry you feel like that Junky...... thought I had always shown respect, the few times I have met you!!
Just to clear something up for you....if i was really bothered I guess I could improve but I don't take my squash very seriously - I'm almost 40 and it's a way to keep fit nothing more....my days of taking sport seriously have long gone!! |
