The season has only just ended and the rumours for next year have already started.
A ten team 1st Division with Thanet pushed up after finishing 4th in Div 2. Martin Rintoul at 1 and Sean Wardman at 2 + A.N. Others.

So how is Canterbury going to be able field 2 teams?

In fact how's Canterbury going to be able to field 1 competetive team in Div 1 next winter season?  Laughing

It's pretty much definite that Martin and Sean will play for Thanet next season as its likely they will be promoted as Rodmersham 3 and Mote 2 have indicated that they'd prefer to stay in Div2.

At least our 2nd team can take comfort in the fact that they didn't need to fight so hard in the end to gain promotion to Div1 as a top half finish would have been enough Wink

That's a shame! Cant. without Rintoul will not be strong enough to trouble Rodmersham. Unless Rod1 and Rod2 split themselves weak enough to give the opposition a chance.
