It all began with a cat, a song, and the man who sang it... Everyone knows the story of Levon, my cat, and how this one gray haired dude sang his song on what would have been his birthday...
On this day, June 8th, 2006, 'Taylor's Legs' began...another person had started a thread at another website with that name, wanting to see a picture of Taylor's High School basketball picture...well, a few of us went in there and started playing, hanging out nightly and on the weekends...we assembled one by one...the 'damp green shirt' pic was dropped by an old friend by the name of Clew, and we were off...we worked that thread to death, dealing with all kinds of crap, but still sticking together like glue...the AI tour started, and some of us got chances to go see Taylor, some of us got the gift of actually meeting Taylor, and some of us got the opportunity to see Taylor's band Little Memphis Blues Orchestra...all the time checking in during our travels...calling our updates 'Hotwitness News Updates'...Taylor assumed some new nicknames due to us, like 'Hotness'...among other ones...alot of us got to meet him, alot of us got to meet and become friends with the boys of LiMBO...we stayed at the first website for quite awhile, until the heat became too much to bear...so we packed up our things one nite, left a popcorn trail, and moved to another website where we thought we could be ourselves...we loved it there very much, we had so much fun, and didn't have the restraints that were put on us at the other site...we stayed there for a very long time...but life turns, and things happen...we went thru a very hard time for about a month this past winter, we were homeless...we still stuck together like glue, the core of us...trying to figure out what we were gonna do, to keep us all together...then it came to us...we needed our own website, where we could do what we want, where we could be ourselves, and be our own bosses...so it began...
On December 12th, 2006, designed to coincide with the dropping of Taylor's first album (actually his 3rd, but this was the national one), our website was launched...finally we had become what we had always dreamed...TaylorsLegs.com Now we are all here, we welcome new members almost everyday...with open arms...we have been accused of being exclusive, a clique', and not welcoming...this is the farthest thing from the truth...the only thing we have ever asked of people is to support Taylor, have fun, and be yourself...we have never gotten into the jealousy and hating that seems to plague the Soul Patrol...don't get me wrong, there are some beautiful souls in the Patrol, but Fandom is a very fickle place, and we have always tried to keep the Taylove alive...and we still are It has been one year today for 'Taylor's Legs' and it has taken on an entirely new meaning...it used to be just a funny name, a catchy name, but as this has progressed it has become crystal clear that 'Taylor's Legs' has come to mean that Taylor's true fans are his 'legs', because without his fans, he could not stand...as fans, as his 'legs', we must carry him, support him, be his warriors, his friends, his light in this storm of Fandom...so that it is...his 'legs' From me, you guys...Happy Anniversary...thank you for so very much, all of you know what I'm thanking you for...thank you to all the new members, thank you to the boys of LiMBO, thank you to Teddy, thank you to our families for understanding what we have embarked on, thank you to all of the friends I have amassed during this, thank you to all of you... For the Core Leggies...you are the best friends I have ever had the pleasure of having...you have made this life worth living, worth waking up for, worth every single thing I have been thru to do this, and worth the hours of work, sleeplessness, hurt, pain, tears, sweat, fun, excitement, sadness, and the love...it is the most important thing I have ever been involved in, no one and NOTHING will make me leave...EVER To one Mr. Taylor Hicks...you have done something that I believed no one could ever do...you made me want to live, you brought back happiness, music, dancing, laughing, love and happiness to an otherwise dismal life...my life has changed 180 degrees since you first sang Levon on AI, and I would not change one thing I've dealt with...I will forever be your fan, your friend, your supporter, and your defender...cuz thats what its all about...you, my friend, are the proverbial Poo!!!
So, from me to all of you...Happy 1st Anniversary, Taylor's Legs!!! Here's to another year and many many more!!!!

* our adult boards and fanfiction forum is protected by a password. you need to be at least 18 years old to be activated. if you are interested in gaining access to these boards, please contact dawggie or funyfkr2 and we will let you have the password.

* we have a fanfiction forum. you are encouraged to post your stories, novels, novellas, short stories, one-offs, and poems. feel free to share anything you want, its on the adult boards, so, as usual, in true leggie form...anything goes.

*if you read in the fanfiction forum, i ask of you to please comment on what you read. as an author myself, i know how much it means to know that people are reading your stuff and liking it. so please leave comments, and help the writers out, ok?
