i hate to keep asking you guys to pray for my family, but im in a spot and im needin everyone to pray as hard as they can...
my mom is having surgery either today or tomorrow...they did an ultrasound of her neck yesterday, and her carotid arteries (the ones on the sides of her neck) are 80% blocked...they told her that it was the reason for the attack, the dizziness she experiences all the time, and the reason they cant keep her blood pressure up..
the doctor, Dr DeWalt, is the doctor who did my dad's leg last summer, he is an awesome surgeon, and a superb man...so i feel safe knowing hes doing it, but the thing is...
my mom is not physically strong these days, nor is she emotionally strong...all that has happened in the past few weeks has really worn her down...she has been in the hospital since that happened to her at Chris's funeral...
i am begging all of you who read this to please pray for my momma...her name is barbara, and she is my lifeline...if something happens to my mom, i dont know what or how id make it thru...
so please??
pray hard??

Just got this, baby. I'll call in just a bit. And I haven't STOPPED praying for Mama, but I will add one in here.
Lord,
We humbly offer up Mama Barbara to you again, praying for her well being. Father, ease her and Chrissy's hearts - make this surgery go well for her so she'll be stronger than ever. Bathe her in your Warm Healing Presense and let her feel all of our love, coupled with Yours. Father, let Dr. DeWalt have sure and steady hands, Guided by Your own, so this will be a simple and uncomplicated affair and the next words we hear are reassuring to Chris's heart and ours. Let Chris temporarily let go of the hurt she is carrying, relax and not stress out - she needs your Love to hold her tight. You be her Legs, Father, as so often she has been ours.

Dawggie: I'll keep your Mother, Barbara, in my prayers.
I do want to share with you that my 74 year old uncle just went through surgery for occlusion of the his carotid arteries. He had the left done right before I came to Columbus and the right arteries just last week. He was occluded at 80% too. He was having dizzy spells and at times even passing out for short times. I can tell that both times within the second day, he was up and ready to go home. He says he feels so much better and now he has even started driving again. He was afraid he'd pass out while driving. He said he was glad that he had the surgery performed.
Lord, watch over Barbara and stand beside her during her surgery and give her a fast recovery. Father, be with her daughter Chris and ease her worries. Thank you Lord, Thank you Jesus. Amen.

First let me say that Dawggie honey, you NEVER have to say your sorry for needing us! That is what being a Leggie really friggin means girl! You and the others have not just created a fan gathering of Taylor hicks. You have created a home filled with love and understanding! We ask no questions as to why, we just do what we do because we love you!
You know my prayers are always with you sweetie! I have not stopped praying for you and yours. Your in my heart now girl and that means forever...like it or not!
BTW I have depressing news myself.... my ex hubby had the same surgery for the same reason and he made it...RATS... I am sure your mom will be fine!
