I just got this on Taylors Way Yahoo group. The owner, Pat has a sister Kath.. Kath is very sick, here is the email:
We're in the ER---
She's having terrible pain from that huge ulcer...
Diarrhea & vomiting off and on for a week . . .
Please forward this to anyone who will pray . . .
We'll be in touch...

Father -
We have been given another sister for you to take close in Your arms to hold as we cannot. Lift her close, Lord, whisper upon the breeze how much we love her. Nurture her with Your Sweet Healing, piece by piece until she is Hale, Healthy and Happy as well as Home to us safe again. Lend her your Strength and at as well, lifting them up High so pain and anguish can no longer touch them.

Kath Update:
Just got off the phone with Patricia. In Kathleen exploratory surgery they found a tumor in the pancreas that cause her to produce so much acid that it causes ulcers in her stomach. Friday she is undergoing another surgery. It is basically the same surgery people go when they are too fat to lose weight. Only thing is she is already there. If anything she is mal-nurture. So in the meantime they are going to try to build her up and help her gain weight. Which is why they are waiting until Friday. She is going to be in the hospital for atleast 10 days after that.
She told the doctor she has to get better by Sept 7 to see Taylor in Grand Rapids!!!!
Anyways please keep Kathleen in her prayers. And pass this on to your churches, etc and get everyone you know praying for her. Because i this point i guess that is about all we can do. I wish there was something more we can do.

I often wish the same - wish there was more, but you know - prayers are not insignificant things, Jodie. You know that as much as I do. Tell her we love her when you talk to her next and we still are praying.

Kath's in intensive care & will be for a day or so longer.
That means no phone until she's back in a regular room.
The surgery went well and she has a very long incision down the middle of her tummy, from below her sturnum to past her naval.
Plus the ones inside that are held together with staples: No, they don't come out but scar tissue will grow over them.
So, she's in pain but that's normal considering what a big procedure this was.
She has an IV pump for pain med. that she has to push but that's kinda hard when you have tube & wires everywhere.
Whenever they let me see her, I make sure she's getting all the pump is set to allow her.
The NG tube thru her nose into her stomach is the most uncomfortable but it drains blood and such and she'll have it for awhile.
Nothing by mouth---not even ice chips---for anywhere from four to ten days.
She's not running a fever but is hot & sweaty since they keep ICU so warm and we like life a nice, steady 58*
Now we continue to praise God for a speedy healing with no infection or setbacks.
We think she's going to be here another ten days or so & I will let you know when she's in a room with a phone & give you the number.
I had to move all of her things out of room 650 today since they can't charge her for two rooms at a time.
Now I look like a bag lady with two weeks accumulation of her belongings stashed around me in the family waiting room.
Sister Dorothy called me this morning while Kath was in surgery & we prayed together which helped so much.
I don't know what we'd do without our friends since we have so little family . . .
Thank you for continuing to care and to pray in thanksgiving.

Prayers are in abundance here..i just know it.
Tyg is usually so good with these things but I will give it my best....
Heavenly Lord above,
please continue your watch over our beloved friend as she continues her journey through this troubled time.
May she feel your divine light around her and let it give her the comfort that she so very much needs.
Let her feel all of our love and support around her, so she know how much she is cherished.
Let us help carry some of the burden, so her body can rest and heal.
Lord, we thank you for allowing us to be together to help each other.
I thank you eternally for this wonderful family of friends. We all need each other so very much!!
It is because of the love you have shown us that we can spread this amazing love and support no matter the distance between us.
We thank you Lord for all your blessings.
