My 2nd grade teacher was IN LOVE with Albert Belle. She had all kinds of posters all over her room of him. Ohh the good old days. I was just in love with his homers. I loved  his sweet skills.

He was a good baseball player, but I remember he was kind of a jerk to some fans...I liked him, but my friend has a bad experience with him...

I know he was rumored not to be a nice person and to have a bad temper, but when you're a kid, you don't care. He was just cool cause he played pro ball and he was good at it.

My friend was visiting family and was at the same hotel as the Indians and he went up to him and tried to get him to sign his hat and he was like "can't you just leave me alone?  I'm not even on the field!" He was like 7 at the time so he was sad after that.

I don't remember who my first favorite player was. My dad was taking me to games since before I can remeber. I love the teams of the 90's though. We had some good guys. I used to think Albert Belle was pretty cool. My brother and I used to have his autograph, but one of my dogs ate my ball. Made be sad. I also liked Manny, Kenny, Fryman, Robbie Alomar, Nagy, Thome and others I'm sure. And I've always loved Omar. Still do.

I have always been a BIG Kenny Lofton fan.  Whenever my family played kickball/baseball I would always have to be lead-off so that I could be Kenny.  I was so happy that I ended up being at the game that Kenny came back.  You might think it dorky but I was very happy to see Grady and Kenny "playing catch"

My favorite pitcher was Chuck Nagy.  I actually was at the game where he was honored.  Too bad we had to leave before the Indians even batted since my brother got hit in the eye by a foul ball in that game.

I was at that game too... the game itself actually sucked.... lol.  I also got his autograph at Spring Training this year.  I was sooo freakin' excited!

I was at that game too... He signed autographs at the players' lot afterwards, and stood there and talked to people, it was totally awesome, especially for my hubby, who grew up an Indians fan, and a huge Nagy fan!  Oh, and Michele is right, that game totally sucked!

I guess I didn't miss much then.  I do believe that they ended up winning though.  I would have much prefered being at the game then at the emergency room though, especially since they were good seats.  Oh well!  At least he did get free tickets for the next season, the ball, a towel thrown up from the dugout and a signed bat for his troubles.

They didn't win that game, it was one of those 14-2 kinda games if I remember correctly...or maybe even worse than that.  My parents and I left in like th 6th inning.
