I thought that it was one of those games that Thome hit a winning homer or something. Maybe I'm remembering wrong or that was a different game or something. I don't know. |

Jamey Carroll is amazing! I was wondering what he'd do for us and he's been just what we need. I wish we had a permanent role for him, but for now he's been fab!

haha he was funny when i met him !
he said the only reason he got drafted or whatever was because he was like the closest to Wrigley (i think) and he could get there the fastest.

lol remember when we were all like why did we get this guy?! and we were all like whatever he won't pull through for us....well I'm taking it back! He is one of my favorites this year, yeah he's in a slump like everyone else, but man is he good on defense! Wow!

I also see no coincidence that his initials are JC.. Jesus Christ Superstar. Same thing with Vic's middle name..Victor Jesus Martinez.

First Indians game for me was '66 at Metropolitan Stadium in Minnesota. Now that was a nice ballpark! I was 10 and had moved there from the SF Bay Area. The Athletics were still in Kansas City and in the Bay Area you only saw the AL on the Saturday Game of the Week and the World Series.
I got my parents to take me to one game that summer and fortunately the Tribe was coming to town on a weekend. I got to see the Indians beat the Twins with my favorite player Rocky Colavito hitting a homer. Another cool thing that game was seeing Tony Oliva hit an inside the park homer, maybe the most exciting offensive play in baseball next to the triple. |
