So, I went to the game yesterday in Winter Haven. Had lots of fun. Not too many of the guys signed which was disappointing, but hey, what can ya do.
A couple fun little encounters, Raffie Betancourt definitely remembered me. The second he saw me he did a double take and instantly smiled and waved. I of course waved back. When he was walking back through he was eating a protein bar or something and I asked if I could have a bite. He laughed and said something like, "I need this for my strength." I heart him! Also, Paul Byrd recognized me and my family as well. He walked right over to us, gave me a high five, gave my niece a high five and asked how we all were. Later, when my husband and bro-in-law went out to the practice fields, Paul threw them some balls. And one last note, Trevor Crowe was looking fine as usual. I asked him to sign an autograph and he came right over and signed for me...and only me I might add. teehee. That helped to make my day even better. Ok, so now for some pics:

Byrdie is most definitely, hands down the nicest guy on the team. Quite possibly the nicest guy in all of the majors! If you get the chance to strike up a conversation with him, do it. He's SO receptive to fans.

That's what a lot of people have said, like sports reporters, that Byrd is probably one of the only guys in the majors who will actually go out of his way to be nice to all the fans. I think that's so awesome and respectful towards the fans.

He is awesome. Simple as that. My brother and his friends started a group they call "Paul's Byrdies." Everytime Paul sees them at a game, he goes out of his way to chat with them, sign autographs and throw them baseballs. Last year my brother came down here to go to some games in Tampa and we all wore the Byrdies headdresses to the games. He chatted with us after the game and took a pic with all of us together. He even asked us to print out the picture so he could hang it up at home in his pool room. Which reminds me, we still need to print that pic off for him!
