Today Grady was on All Bets Are Off with Bruce Drennan.  I came in towards the end, but it will be on again tonight around midnight.  The show is on STO so if you have it, watch it or record it.  They talked for a few minutes and afterwards Bruce talks about what a great talent Grady is, which he's been saying since he came to the Tribe, but he really thinks he's an amazing player.

Basically the interview started off with Bruce complimenting Grady on the fact that he's such a talented young man and of course Grady thanked him.  Then he asked him about how hard it is to be one game away from going to the World Series.  Then Grady got kind of sad and said it's hard to get over and it takes a while to do it.
Bruce asked if it was fun beating the Yankees and Grady grinned and say yes that it was really exciting because of all the emotion flying around and it was just really amazing to win.
Then Bruce asked if he watched the World Series, and Grady said of course even though I'm not playing in it it was still kind of hard to watch knowing they were one win away from making it and it's still kind of hard thinking about it now, but it's a new season and you have to move on and try to let it go.
Bruce mentioned that yeah we had a good team, but I don't think anyone really knew that we were going to run away with the division and leave Detroit behind and taking it as far as we did and Grady acknowledge that we have great every day players and every year they hope to be as good as they were last year, but hoping they can take it further.
He asked Grady what he did in the off season, and Grady said not really much took some time off and relaxed and a month before Spring Training he started working out again and doing some practices.  His routine consists of a month before Spring Training he works on getting his legs back under him and then get back into conditioning, batting in the cage and practicing some stuff and how he doesn't prefer to bat in a cage he'd rather do it in an open field.
Bruce mentioned the lead off spot, Grady said he honestly didn't care where he batted whether it was first or ninth, but he felt really comfortable in the lead off position because it's where he has been most of his career.
He said he doesn't focus on his strikeout numbers but he's working on getting that number down and as he grows and gets more experience he'll be able to get that number down.
Bruce mentioned him being the best defensive players and talk about how he does defense.  He said being the centerfielder you have to take charge and go get it, and that he's going to try to get to the ball no matter what because that's how he plays.  He tries to play shallow because it makes you a more effective player.
Then they talked about how we have an amazing pitching staff and Grady agreed and said he thought we had some amazing pitchers.
He's not worried about the Tigers, all the guys on the Tribe are worried about what they have to do not any other teams.
And that concluded the interview Smile  Hopefully I touched on everything that was said Smile
