That would be so cool, I've never really been out of state to watch the Tribe before, just in Boston, so I think it would be kind of cool...just have to save up lots of money Have you ever been to Ohio to watch the guys play? _________________

Yes, but its been awhile. I grew up in Cleveland so I did have a chance to attend games at Municiple Stadium and at Jacobs Field after it opened. I usually go home for Christmas, so I always miss baseball season. Last time I went was in the early 90's when Jimmy, Albert, Carlos, Omar and the gang were together. _________________ Ms. Kat

What a great idea! I always go to the games against the Tampa Bay Rays, so if anyone is in this area, we could try to plan something as well! _________________

Hi, Ladies!
I just joined a few days ago (on Grady's Bday), although I bought one of your shirts last year. I am a Paramedic and live near Wichita, KS, but was born in Parma, OH and all of my roots are in Cleveland. I miss it so much. Most of my relatives that I was close to have passed away so I don't get up to Cleveland anymore even though my heart has always been and always will be up there.
I am going to be able to attend the Sunday, September 7th Cleveland/Kansas City game in KC. Are any of you in the area and might be attending?
I am crossing my fingers that they let Grady play since it's the 3rd game in KC that weekend and don't give him the day off like they did a few days ago. If nothing else, I can get some nice "eye candy" during warm ups. LOL!
Anyhow, just wondering if any of you by chance are in the area and might be attending! Let me know!
I am so excited to be a part of this group that honors and admires such a incredible and humble (can't forget handsome!) player for our beloved Indians!!
Lorrie Stelz
P.S. Since I can't cheer for "our guy" during the Indians home games, scream a little extra loud for me when you cheer for him. |

lol. Hi, Lorrie! I'm Janel. I just joined here a few weeks ago as well and I'm pretty sure it's awesome that you are from another state liking Grady. He's a great guy...even if it is Kansa City! J/K! lol!
I won't be going to that game in September but have fun! _________________ *Janel* |

Hi, Janel!
Good to hear from you!! Nice to see there is another newbie like me!
Make no mistake... I have never ever been a Royals or Chiefs fan. I have always said that "I may live in Kansas, but I bleed Cleveland Red and Blue"! My loyalties have always been with the Indians and Browns since I am a Clevelander by birth. I just can't get up to Cleveland to watch them at home. The Royals stadium is the closest place for me to go to cheer Grady and the team on! Not ideal, but better than nothing.
However, back in 1997, I had a couple of family members that got to watch the Indians play in person in the World Series, sent me a bunch of newspapers and they even sent me a ticket stub from one of the games. That I have framed on my Indians/Browns section of my wall. I was so jealous. Maybe one of these days we can celebrate a new World Series Championship for our Indians! I was lucky enough to finally see my Alma Mater the Kansas Jayhawks win the National Championship this year. Cleveland is SO DUE for a Championship title. The last time they won the WS was when my folks were 1 year old. That's SAD!
I can't wait to go to the game and get to experience some Grady magic like all of you are able to do up there! Hopefully there are *some* Indians fans at the game that I am able to sit next to!! LOL!
Thanks for writing and for the nice welcome!

Hi, Casey!
Actually I am looking forward to that game you are going to. Since KC is a regional team, I should be able to get those 3 games on my dish network alternative sports channels. I will be working those 3 nights but will video tape them. Otherwise, unless ESPN is televising the game or they are playing a regional team, I don't even get to see the Cleveland games on TV. I do enjoy the videos you can pull up on mlb.com if you put grady's name in the search engine. They have a ton of his home run and base hit video snippets on there!
Thanks for cheering for him for me and have fun!!
