Well, personally I don't have any (yet), but my sister has a Hawaiian (sp?) phrase on her left wrist, and a Latin phrase on her right. She used to wear long sleeve shirts (even during the summer) whenever she came over, but when my parents found out, they didn't really freak or anything. Haha. They weren't really okay with it, but figured they really didn't have a choice since she was over 18.

Personally, I can't wait till I turn 18 so I can go get mine =]

I have two. One on my foot of a toad (my dad called me his little toad) and then I have a Blue butterfly on my left shoulder. My mom had no problem with them because they have meaning behind them.

I really like the stars on the foot idea, I've thought about that myself but I don't think I'd ever go through with it lol too permanent for me! I've gotten body piercings but at least I can take them out.

My sister was talking about really wanting a tattoo, but she was scared.  So I told her if she went, I'd go get one too.  I told my mom about it.  One day my mom was on the phone with my sister, and I heard her say, "So when are we going to get tattoos?"  I looked at my mom like WHAT?!  So the day after my sister's 30th birthday (my mom had just turned 50 a couple months before) we all went to get tattoos.  My mom went first, she got a rose on her foot.  My sister went second and got a rose on her shoulder blade.  Then I went... I drew my tattoo, it's "Belle" with a butterfly coming off the "B" and it's on my right side, lower back.  So my mom can't say much about my tattoo, cause she got hers first!  The funniest thing is she was petrified of my grandma seeing hers!

Then last summer my best friend and I went and got tats on our hips.  I got a hummingbird with a flower and tribal design on my left hip.  My mom loves that one too, she thinks it's beautiful.  My dad just rolls his eyes, he doesn't care much, but he won't get one cause he's a wuss!

At some point I'd like to get a cross somewhere... I was thinking like above the bra-line, center of my back but I'd want to wait til I get married to get that one cause it would look a little trashy in a wedding dress.  Also, I am leaning towards getting one at the base of my neck, like under my hair, but I would want something small, not sure the design yet.

My first...

That one hurt a bit because it was by my spine.  He kept hitting a nerve that shot pain down my leg.

My second...

I'm not gonna lie, this tattoo kinda felt good.  Weird, I know... but he coulda kept going and I wouldn't have cared.

I hate needles too... I would practically make myself sick if I had to go get a shot at the doctor, but this isn't the same.  It isn't going way into your skin like a shot.  It kinda tickles cause it like vibrates, unless you are in a sensitive spot then it can hurt a little bit more.  But overall, it doesn't last forever, but you come out with an awesome tattoo that will Smile  To me, it's worth a little bit of pain.

I just mostly like that I drew it, so I know no one has the same tattoo as me Smile  The other one I picked out at the tattoo shop, but he changed it a little bit for me.

The first one I got done at this place Parma Heights... I wouldn't recommend it.  The second one I got done at a place in Ohio City on W. 25th called Voodoo Monkey. I HIGHLY recommend that place.  They're really good at helping you with your design and give really good advice about how a tattoo is supposed to look.  For example, I wanted my hummingbird facing towards the outside of my body, and apparently that's a no-no for tats.  They told me that and redesigned it to look right.  My friend presented them with an idea of what she wanted, and they told her it wouldn't look right and tweaked it for her.

Oh, and save up cause they can cost you depending on how big you get it and where.

I guess I have never been into tattoos. This is coming from a person that doesn't even have her ears pierced so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  I am a very indecisive person who would never decide on a design or where to put it anyways.  Also, I hate needles so even if they don't really hurt, I doubt I could last.  I do like your idea though Bree.  I think that would look cute.  Michelle your ones look real awesome too.  I like to look at all the cool ones and appreciate them though!
