That's hilarious! I like the Milton Bradley comment too...Don't you love sarcastic reporters that just voice what we all are thinking? Ah, free press... _________________ ~Sharon~ |

Grady,
I think that you should model men's underwear, give ALL of us LADIES what we have been dreaming about.. You tease us all season long with your under-armor shirts showing under your jersey's, your tight wife beaters & the tight pants you wear are just too damn much for me too handle.. I need to know what's going on under them layers of clothes.. Do us all a favor, and just TAKE IT OFF!! _________________

Good one!! Oh my gosh. We are all drooling over his Men's Vogue photospread. He's so handsome as it is in his baseball uniform. I think we would all be in need of some *serious* medical attention if he shed all of those layers!! LOL!
At least it would help get us through the off-season! haha! _________________ Lorrie

I need something to get threw the off season... I loveddd the pics in the men's vogue but it would have been soo much better with one added of him in just like a pair of Joe Boxer (boxers or hanes) something just to see the body and not all the underarmor!! Gosh what a dream of mine, I'm like drooling all over the keyboard just thinking about it!!
Come on Grady just one simple boxer pic that's all WE want!! I mean look at his arms, you know his body has to be just as rock hard!! Yummmmmmm!
We love you Grady.. Goooo TribE!! _________________

From indians.com:
Strike a pose: Grady in Men's Vogue
Tribe star reluctantly appears after prodding from agent
By Anthony Castrovince / MLB.com
CLEVELAND -- To his manager, he's a model player.
To the editors at Men's Vogue, he's a model -- period.
After much pleading from his agent, Grady Sizemore agreed to do a Men's Vogue photoshoot this summer, and the results were in the magazine's October 2008 issue.
Framed around a story that mentioned Sizemore's well-known disdain for public attention was a photo spread of Sizemore modeling an assortment of bomber jackets. It was a dichotomy, to be sure, but it was probably one the members of Grady's Ladies didn't mind.
When asked about the clothes he modeled for the mag, Sizemore was quick to offer clarification.
"Those aren't mine," he said. "Most of them didn't fit me. They were pretty tight. And I don't have $1,000 jackets to wear."
Actually, Sizemore underestimated the duds there. According to the magazine's inset, he was shown wearing a Tom Ford leather jacket that retails for $5,425 and a YSL bomber jacket that goes for $4,390.
So don't expect to see Sizemore on "The Price is Right" anytime soon. He'll have to continue to settle for "SportsCenter."
Now, the snapshots in Vogue are all well and good. But manager Eric Wedge recently heaped praise on Sizemore, who is rated in the soon-to-be-released Bill James Handbook as the 24th-best player in the big leagues under the age of 30, for being the picture of a team leader.
"Everybody in [the clubhouse] has so much respect for Grady," Wedge said. "When you see him help people [on the team], it goes a lot further."
The Indians' well-documented losses of Travis Hafner and Victor Martinez to injury for a big chunk of the season put quite a bit of weight on Sizemore's shoulders.
"What's remarkable is that the people who scouted us, he was the one guy they focused on," Wedge said. "And he still had an outstanding year."
Outstanding enough for Sizemore to become just the 10th player in American League history and the second player in Tribe history to notch at least 30 homers and 30 doubles in a single season.
Sizemore drove in 90 runs from the leadoff spot, became the first Indians player since "Shoeless" Joe Jackson (1911-14) to lead the team in hits in four straight seasons (2005-0 and is once again a prime Gold Glove candidate for his work in center field.
But Wedge was also quick to acknowledge that Sizemore was streaky at times in '08, particularly in the second half. Sizemore hit .243 in August and .259 in September, and his season average of .268 was by far the lowest of his four full seasons.
Wedge thinks Sizemore, who started 157 of 162 games, wore down a bit as the year progressed, and that's something the Indians hope to address next year.
"We need to pick our spots to give him more off-days," Wedge said. "He plays so hard, and he plays every day, but we need to pick our spots with him."
In the meantime, Sizemore has a secure spot in the middle of a fashion magazine. _________________ ~*Michele*~ |

Hey, Michelle!
Thanks for posting that article!! I hadn't seen that one yet! Although I did read on the Plain Dealer webpage tonight that Grady and Cliff got named to the "Sporting News" All-Star team! Not that we need a newspaper to tell us how special our guys are! But, that was exciting to see! I hope we see the Cy Young go to Cliff this year and another Gold Glove gets Grady's name on it! They both deserve it!
I laughed when I read that Grady wasn't too fond of the clothes they had him wear. Nice to see that our humble boy doesn't let his fame and fortune get the better of him!
Cute that they mentioned Grady's Ladies in the article!!
I was excited that I got promoted to Lieutenant at work so I now know my schedule for 2009. I have 3 weekends picked out as to when I might fly up to Cleveland for some weekend games in 2009. Most are in the summer when it's busier in the park unfortunately, but in the spring, they are playing at home almost every weekend that I am working, except for the Yankees weekend which I will avoid. Also think I am going to try to fly out to Goodyear for the first weekend of games in March as I am off. Disappointed that they tend to play some of their Sunday games in different parks, but it looks like that weekend they are playing somewhere in Phoenix. With my schedule, I think that is when I will try to get out there. I can't wait for 2009 to start!!
Hey a question... you guys know more about this than I do. I know we are supposed to have Grady signed through 2011 with the club option in 2012. Well, as we all know, our Tribe has a history of trading away their best players to get more players to fill spots on the roster. Is there *any chance* they will nix Grady's contract early since he is such a good, valuable player, to get other players to fill empty spots? Obviously they would be foolish to do so, but we have such a great player in Grady, it makes me nervous they will trade him before his contract is up. Do any of you see that happening? Gulp!
And, I have to mention before I close... how cool is that that our Browns beat the Giants on Monday Night Football!!! Did any of you go to that game? How exciting!
Take care up there in Ohio!! Hope to meet you guys in a few months! _________________ Lorrie

No chance... and if they do, we riot! haha, j/k... well maybe. I guess in the last year of his contract (not the option) anything is possible, but I highly doubt it. They got him locked down for a really good deal, he could most definitely make more elsewhere, so I don't see them unloading him to "save money." _________________ ~*Michele*~ |

Good!! (big sigh...) Thanks, Michelle!
You are right, though... if they DO, we RIOT!! I'll join ya! LOL! Personally they would be losing so much if they traded him as the fans love him, he brings a lot of profits with "Grady merchandise" and the team would lose a valuable leader besides the incredible talent he brings.
But, as we know, not everyone thinks logically, so that is why I was worried!
We appreciate him with our hearts, but the Indians are running a business....
Thanks for allaying some of my worries! _________________ Lorrie

Oh, yeah, Marie! You live in NY, don't you! Did you rub it in that we beat them? LOL! Too bad that didn't carry over into their game on Sunday. Hopefully they can win some more games.
I am just glad the Sox didn't get into the WS!! _________________ Lorrie
