i still have a feeling it's gonna be a lingering injury, like he said, and he's gonna try and play through it but he'll end up needing surgery. i just have that feeling you know? :/

Yeah, I think so too.  I think that if he has any pain at all after this last 7-10 days, he should have the surgury anyway even if they say it may not be necessary.

I like hearing him say that he feels better, but I don't like how he said that it was hurting him the whole time he was playing this season... GRADY please don't try to be Hercules it's okay for a "MAN" to get hurt too. We need you at 100%, we want you at 100% & if that means surgery, thats what it means. We love ya G & it's okay if your injured. Don't beat yourself up over it & don't try to play the game when in pain!

Exactly.  Better be safe than sorry, and playing through the pain is not being safe.

He's just so passionate about the sport & you can tell that he is begging & puppy dog facing the coaches to get him back on the field. I mean if it were me the puppy dog face would work, but Wedgie knows what is best for him!!!

Puppy dog faces don't work on me.  Ever.  Lol.  But Grady would probably crack me.

My nieces do the puppy dog face & I do whatever they're ordering. Yet another reason why I should NOT have children. I would either be arrested or let them do anything they wanted?!

When I was listening to the game on the radio today, Tom Hamilton did a brief update about Grady and how his "rehab" is going.  Hammy said that Grady participated in more catching and batting practice and feeling really really good.

I guess that Hammy talked to Grady on the bus to the game and he is very anxious to be involved and contribute to the team once again.  Grady told Hammy that he wants to be reinstated on the team for the Pittsburgh series this week and skip the whole rehab in the minor leagues.  Hammy commented on this by saying that he is unsure how well Grady would do without the rehab since he's been on DL and shutdown for 2 weeks, but it might be what our Indians need especially with how we are looking.

Just thought I would share what I heard...

i didn't even think Grady went on the road trip with them. wow. i think he def should do some triple A rehab to get back in his groove. i know he's really anxious but he needs to ease back into things you know. thanks for the info. Smile

No problem.  My pleasure.  I don't remember where I heard it, but I did know that he went with the team to Chicago.  It's probably easier for him with have the trainers there and to stick to the norms of batting practice, warmups, etc.  I can kinda see both ways concerning his return.  I just hope it's not jumped into too quickly that can throw him off and everyone agrees the choice is the best for him and the team.

i'm definitely anxious for his return, and Asdrubal's too especially since we've been losing games by small margins lately. it'll be nice to have those guys back in the lineup. we have got to get on a winning streak soon and hopefully those 2 will be what we need to get back on track.

Yep, we can only hope.  I think just having the guys back and involved might boost spirits and hopefully send us on a winning streak.  Hopefully Garko's sprained wrist won't affect things too much or DeRosa's bruised hip.  What's with our team?

Thanks G'sangel for the update.. I was unable to listen to the game this afternoon because my XM was acting dumb! I am very anxious to see G back on the field, but think that he really shouldn't rush into things. We all know how he feels about the bench & not contributing to the team, but he needs to realize that the team needs him when his elbow is good & he has a little practice to get back in the groove.

Really can't wait for Cabrera to get back here either. I think these boys will really be the fuel that the Tribe needs to keep theirselves in this!!!

& once again.. I agree I don't really know what is with this JINX that our boys our getting. What is with these injuries after injury?!?! It's getting to me & wondering if someone is sending bad wraths our way.. LOL! I hope everyone stays healthy as can be because we really need help from everyone... ESPECIALLY the bull pen. Come on Kerry!! What is with you????
