He did say something of that nature during his interview on IndiansonDeck yesterday. He wants to continue to play.

I admire his heart but I'm one of those fans that believes he should have been shut down weeks/months ago :/

Looks like Grady's season is done :/
Just updated this on The Natural from The PlainDealer

Quote:
"CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Indians are expected to shut down center fielder/leadoff hitter Grady Sizemore for the season. An annoucement will be made later today.

Sizemore has played all season with a sore left elbow that will require surgery. Rookie Michael Brantley will hit leadoff tonight against the Twins at Progressive Field."

From Anthony Castrovince's blog:
Quote:
Grady Sizemore shut down for season. Will have arthroscopic surgery on left elbow. Trevor Crowe activated off 15-day DL.

From TribeInsider twitter:
Quote:
@tribeinsider: Sizemore shutdown and will have elbow surgery next week. Surgery now means unrestricted in off season 2010 preparation workouts.
