These are the characters that originated from the Tail Section of the plane.

Tyler

Tyler has been anything but social since crash landing on the island. He keeps to himself, mostly--only speaking up when he has something to contribute towards their survival. Since he was born, he's been heralded as a genius. When he was barely a teenager, he created a drug patent to slow the effects of the HIV virus on the body. It made him and his parents rich, but money didn't help him at all. His own mind was beginning to betray him soon after, and he slowly started to slip into a reality that only existed in his own head. At 22, barely years into being able to spend his own money, his parents sent him from Tennessee--back to Australia, where he had grown up. There was a world renowned psychiatric hospital there where he would have spent the rest of his life, except for that he escaped two years later and boarded Flight 815 hoping to return to America.

Sarah

An orphan from birth, Sarah never got the chance to know her parents. She was developed into a young woman by a lower-class orphanage and later, the rough streets in central Sydney. For years she wondered why her parents had abandoned her and only hoped there was a good reason behind it. Not until her 21st year did she discover that her grandmother lived in the same city as her. The relative told Sarah of her parents and how they resided in Los Angeles. Address in hand, the young Australian boarded Oceanic Air flight 815 in hope of finding the parents she always dreamed about. Instead she landed on an unknown island, hundreds of miles from civilisation. Moving from one tough existence to another, if there's one thing Sarah's good at it's survival.

Ford

Ford Arbor Basset Jr. grew up on a farm in Western Australia, but the sudden death of his parents drove him and his twin sisters away from their simple life - and towards Sydney. Disaster after disaster leads to the destruction of Ford's family and life, and he finds himself fleeing the horrible memories of the only country he knows. On the island, he passes himself off as the 'dumb farm boy' to throw others off the trail of his violent past. You'll never find him sitting down, either; Ford is constantly working on something, and oftentimes seems a little obsessive. Laid-back and trustworthy to boot, he gets along fairly well with everyone else, as long as they don't pry into his history.

Marcus

Born and raised in New York, Marcus loved to box. His parents never approved of the sport, though, his parents quickly got him sent off and to school instead--where he studied Arts. After dropping out of school and not sharing this with his parents, he continued to cash their tutition checks and went back to the money and excitement of underground fighting. Until 2005, when his opponent died during a fight. He quickly learned that the man he killed was an undercover FBI agent, so he fled to Sydney, except there were people waiting for him there. Running again, to LA this time, he boarded Flight 815. After a major head injury during the crash, he got amnesia and can't remember anything of his past.

Jace

Jace and his sister resided in the comfort of England for the majority of their lives with their two older siblings and two parents who were not often around. Not until after they turned 16 did they pack up home and shift to city of Toronto, Canada -- which they long desired to escape and finally did on a backpacking journey around the globe. Jace had always been out-going and friendly, despite the curse of blindness that had attacked at birth. His twin, Jane, had been blessed with the natural gift of sight, whereas he had not. He often wondered what it�d be like to have the rolls reversed, though didn�t like to dwell on it. Fate played its course on the Oceanic 815 flight to LA, though it was unbeknownst to the separate siblings.

Merrik

Born and bred a gentleman, it did not take Merrik long before he realised he wanted to follow his Father�s footsteps and become a teacher. Travelling to different parts of the world, far from his home country of Scotland � he ended up in Sydney � hoping for a life of simplicity. However, that dream did not last long as the Scot was propelled into a world of scam, lies and murder � where he was forced to partake in a scam that resulted in him being on Flight 815.

Nikkos

Nikkos spent his life in Greece hustling his way up the backstreets by working bookies for football games. Until an unforgiveable transgression made him have to flee his native country and set up shop in Sydney instead. Few years passed until he caught himself up again in a jackpot game scandal, and once again Nikkos found himself fleeing to head to the bright lights of Las Vegas instead---via Los Angeles, Flight 815. Since crashing, he's been far from the person helping with anything, though. Choosing instead to amuse him by screwing over the other survivors through placing bets on everything from golf to how high the tide goes. Not to mention going through every pretty thing on the beach. Nikkos has no idea that he's quickly going to be forced into helping, whether he wants to or not

Naomie

Much like all of the Others, little is known about Naomie. She has a harsh but obedient manner that may betray a military background--or just proves how tight a ship the Others run. While she seems to unconditionally believe in the leadership of the people around her, a friendship with Juliet might prove to be the one thing that will sway her from her unquestioning diligence.

Adrienne

A natural actress with feisty characteristics totals a large portion of what is known about the mysterious Other, Adrienne. What is known about her is limited, other than she was one of the people to survive and re-invent herself after the Purge. Her contrasting characteristics of tactility and the inability of staying in one place for a reasonable amount of time makes her the ideal product to be manufactured by the Other’s, but which could turn sour at any moment; all it could take is a red cloth shoved in front of her face.

Jane (Deceased.)

Jane, twin sister of Jace, lived and resided in Liverpool, England, before moving with the family that consisted of two older siblings and barely-there parents, to Toronto, Canada, at age 16. After saving up enough money, her and her brother had decided a backpacking trip was in order and they soon traipsed through various cities around the world. She d always envied her brother, who, despite his visual impairment, had always managed to maintain his high spirits and friendly attitude, whereas she couldn t help but be bitter and cynical. Who knew that one fateful plane trip from Sydney to LA could change things forever?

Mia (deceased)

Mia's inherited everything from her daddy. His massive wealth has been hers to play with since the second she was born. His fame became her birthright on the day of her 18th when she first made the gossip mag's headlines for dancing topless in front of half the cast of That 70s Show (all of whom were close personal friends, of course). His reputation of smashing guitars onstage translated into her reputation of wrapping cars around trees after too much tequila. In fact, the only thing that she didn't get was one ounce of talent, musical or otherwise. Not that Mia let that stop her from being a celebrity in her own right. Of course none of it helps her all that much when her the instruments on her jet stop working....and she finds herself thousands of miles from civilization and about to crash land.

Logan

Logan is a quiet observer and has mastered the skill of fading away in the background in large social environments. On the island he has been one of the many unknown survivors, not really minding anyone’s business but his own. For weeks he thought that their escape was near and he didn’t bother to mingle with the crowd that from day 1 was formed to guide the rest. But now it looks like they’re stuck on the island for much longer than anticipated and Logan knows he needs to break his habit of just observing his fellow castaways, and actually join them in all aspects of the daily life on the island. Unexplainable things have occurred and he knows it’s foolish to trudge around the island alone. Even for someone who thinks of himself as a man of the world—having travelled everywhere seeking answers for his in-depth articles. Being a journalist making notes is his job. But Logan goes much further than that, resulting in his compulsive habit of writing down everything he sees. Some people have noticed and not willing to admit he has a problem he pretends that what he writes isn’t every sick detail of the island and the people living on it, but just notes for a story; so that after they’re rescued he can tell the outside world about their discoveries

Abi

Abi's a 16 year old girl who pretty much has everything, from money to parents that love her--getting anything she wants. This all leads to her getting bored, which leads her to find ways to amuse herself. She soon graduates from small troubles to wanting to see the world, & buys herself a plane ticket to LA. She's pretty much in her own dream world on the island, but helps when she can--although going from the spoils of life to the basics isn't an easy transformation for her.
