Okay, there has been a lot of brainstorming going on in conferences lately. So I thought I'd make a thread where all of these ideas could be mentioned and discussed in open forum. If you don't want to get 'spoiled' on what's going to happen down the road here at TI, then don't read this thread. On the other hand, this is the place to voice objections to ideas as well, and obviously to build on any upcoming ideas or discuss how you'd like your character involved in them. Basiclly, this is a place to discuss all of these things for those who don't have all the time to be on yahoo.
Please utilize this as much as you can.

the hatch:
we were thinking about having a group go down into the hatch, maybe one of four. i think it's important that jack would be there like he was in the show, and obviously locke will be there. so far me and jess have nikkos and isabel planned to be there. anyone else could join. we figure we can have groups split up. jack and locke alone can run into desmond, desmond can tell them about orientation and the button pushing, and then desmond can run off into the jungle to be a drunk.
meanwhile, rousseau can go after aaron again. charlie will lead up some people to head out and find the baby much like in the show. anyone else who wants to come with that's on the fuse beach could. i, for one, would love to see Eko go with charlie. maybe the whole church thing could get thrown into the mix already, and those two could get building. 
ts beach:
eventually the two beaches are going to merge. we were planning on having the ts group find the balloon and/or henry/ben during this trek across the jungle. they can trail him along with them until he gets incapacitated at the fuse beach after the merge.
the beach merge is not going to happen until this december. maybe even early january. so it's going down 2007. that is when jess and lauren will be back home, and so will zarina. so that way we should, for the first time in over a year, all be back together. god willing something else doesn't go down that one of us goes MIA, but let's just hope that it will work out.
the merge:
obviously all brands of drama will be exposed during the merge. one of the things we do want to do is have someone betray the group and send the message much like micheal did. so far i had the idea to have it be walt, upset cause his dad is dead. except not so much with him shooting people, but more delivering the message for the others to round up people on the list. amy also suggested that merrik or abi could go along, eager to chase after the others and find out where they were held when they were kidnapped. this will also lead to ben/henry going back to his people.
now. the list. we were thinking why not have both big triangles have to get othernapped? have jack, kate, and sawyer get nabbed like on the show. except with our own little twists. but -also- have jj tyler and ford get grabbed up as well and have them get put through some seriously through others-style mindfucking.
k. this is what we have so far. some ideas being tossed around. obviously if anyone is against any of this, -please- speak up here. and if you have any ideas to contribute, we'd all love to hear them.

I find everything mentioned above sounding awesome and very show canon. I can really only speak for my characters mentioned (Charlie, Abi) & everything sounds good. Can't wait till we get to these things

we may finally have a solution to the "thread merge" issue we've been having. it's been working out well to have a fuse and a ts thread. but we all know we're planning to merge the two threads when jess and lauren get back to their respective homes. so how to split the threads so it isn't confusing?
well the answer is simple. we won't have to. at least not at first.
then once jack and the other five get othernapped we can split the threads. one thread can be the othersville thread. with those six prisoners, all others, and then abi, merrik, and whoever else decides to try and rescue their friends. then everyone left over can remain on the fuse thread.
sounds good?

Some various that have been discussed in the latest conferences between those and them of us --
§ Reg. the Othernapping:
- The people that are going to get Othernapped (as already told in the previous post in this section) are the two triangles: Jack, Kate and Saywer & Tyler, JJ and Ford.
- As to where they're going to be kept and imprisoned, we're going to do it slightly different than the show. The FS triangle (Jack, Kate and Sawyer) are going to be kept in cages very much like how Kate and Sawyer were kept in the show, except that here they are going to get a cage each. The TS triangle (Tyler, JJ and Ford) are going to get cells inside of the same facility that they kept Jack in the show, with the same disposal of a cell to their own.
- At least the FS triangle will be put to work (like how sawyer and kate were on the show), with Jack supervising.
- At this point, it is planned that a rescue team should set out for them, somehow. The idea was brought up that Caleb and Jace would take lead, so if any of you wants to have your character join in, just let us know and we'll work with that.

Here's a little update reg. the Othernapping, and the two trio's that will be (directly) affected by it:
The FS Trio (Jack, Kate & Sawyer):
The three of them are all going to be kept inside, in the Dharma station. Jack and Kate will start out together in one cell, with Sawyer alone in another cell, elsewhere in the station. Kate will then be removed to have a little chat with "Henry"/Ben, leaving Jack alone and ready to be approached by Juliet. Afterwards, Kate will be thrown in together with Sawyer.
Kate and Sawyer will be put to some kind of work while in the station.
The TS Trio (Tyler, JJ & Ford):
These three are in turn going to be kept outside, in the cages shown in the show. While Tyler and JJ are occupied elsewhere, Ford will start out alone in one cage (the one Sawyer was captive in in the show). When Tyler and JJ are finally taken out to join him, Tyler gets thrown in together with Ford, leaving JJ alone in the other, opposing cage.
These three will work with breaking and hauling the rocks outside.
Also, I think that Erin's mentioned it before, but I just wanted to say it in here again. Once these people have been Othernapped, we're going to split the threads in a similar FS and TS style again, but this time, we're going to have the FS thread remain as normal, and to that, create an "Others" thread. Lol, we'll think of a niftier name til then. |

Here's a little thing we cooked up for the current day on the RP, for the rest day so it runs smoothly, enabling people to post. It will involve the characters of Nikkos, Merrik, Tyler and JJ (+Danielle).
Nikkos is going to approach Merrik, and kind of more or less lead him away, clueing him in on some Otherstuff he wants to talk to him about. At the same time, JJ runs into Tyler when Nikkos approaches them, asking for Ford, who has by now gone off, tending to some personal health issues. Nikkos then spots Danielle and all of the four head off -- ending up going into a cave, in which they get lost... and we rp some there. |

Okay, so after some more brain storming through IMs I just want to bring up and do a small recap on a couple of things for ND, regarding the Othernapping. We've changed some things to fit accordingly.
Kate and JJ are going to wake up together in the shower room, being told to have their showers and get dressed -- they are going to be taken to see Ben for a rapemuffin breakfast. Meanwhile, Jack and Sawyer wakes up in a cell each inside of the Dharma station. Ford and Tyler wake up in the same cage outside in the jungle, the "fish biscuit" cage.
After their little talk, Kate and JJ will be taken back to an individual place each: Kate getting thrown in together with Jack for a while (before her gets removed to talk to Juliet) then going in with Sawyer. JJ will be brought out to go into the opposing cage to the boys. |

we figured that the indoor area will work a lot like where jack was, with the glass wall deal and all that? except sorta expanded with -half- glass walls and a few rooms. so pretty much jack and sawyer wake up with one mostly soundproof room between them.
and the outdoor cages are gonna have the same setup. except tyler and ford will be all fylered up in one of them for a quick minute. XD
obviously if anyone disagrees with anything speak on it. these are all just ideas meant to be discussed and all that

as far as i can recall, i think this is all the story related stuff i've been discussing with people over IM in the past few days.
things in the othersville thread will go as they have been going. the only real change is if we want to decide if ben will know about the 'freighters' having landed on the island once they do--or if we want to leave him clueless temporarily so he can focus on the whole spine/jack/etc deal instead. which is, of course, ultimately up to amy.
the rescue crew is going to go their way to try and well....rescue. you guys have that all sorted i'm sure.
desmond, hurley, and charlie be hunting in the jungle. THEY run into alex who then tells them about the place where they can break through the radio signal and then she takes the three of them there--where charlie dies. desmond gets the NOT PENNYS BOAT message, etc.
then the freighters can land on the next next day
also. just to clarify on the jack/kate/sawyer set up. so it's like a room separated into three rooms. kate is in the middle room. there is an intercom on either side of her room, one for each of the guys. the way i figure--ben/the others can have control of who kate is allowed to speak with and if, say, jack can hear her talking to sawyer and whatnot. there is special kick ass others brand (patent pending) two way mirrors set up so that ben/the others can also sorta determine when the three of them can -view- each other as well.
also. hopefully jess can get juliet bringing jack some grilled chz or something soon. cause we need to get some jacket goin down! lol!
