Ok, so I know this probably won't come anywhere near as fantastic for those who went to Hampton, but I'll give it a try anyways! So my sister and I leave to go to Charlottesville at 10:45 AM Sunday. It only takes about 35 minutes to get there from my house, so we thought we'd get there with plenty of time to sit and wait for buses (I've heard they arrive at arena around 12ish). We got to the JPJ arena EARLY! There were already a couple busses there, and trucks, so we walked around a bit to check things out. There was no sign of anyone at the arena yet, so we decided to got to McDonalds to get some food and use the restrooms! While we were at McDonalds, I received a call from *Meames*. TandT and Kooshes were with her also, and they had gotten into town, and were staked out at the JPJ Arena. My sister and I decided to go check out some hotels in the area after we got our food, and went downtown to the Omni. The Sweets and Kriz were at the Omni also, looking at tour buses, but they must have left before we got there.

The idols were loading the busses, and running across the street to McDonalds, and that's where we 1st met Phil. He and Kathy were talking, and I asked Phil if we could get a picture. They had all just got up, so he looked tired, but took a pic with each of us. They were in a hurry to get to arena, so we didn't get to talk much. Next Melinda and Sligh came out, but just loaded the bus, and ran across the street to get food. We were getting ready to go back to my car (I told Meames I'd call her when the buses leave), and thats when I saw him!!!! Shocked

Chris and Haley came across the street from McDonalds with food, and were about to get on the bus. I went up to them and was like, "excuse me, do yall mind if we get pictures with you real quick?" They were both like, "sure, its no problem at all." This is when I had to laugh (to myself, of course). Poor Haley. I don't think she gets much love from the AI fans- its like she knew the routine. HHC handed over his food to her, and posed for the pictures. She just kind of stood back holding his food. I look like an idiot in my pic (I was in the middle of talking, and my sister snapped the photo! But I was telling him that he's got lots of Richness love waiting on him at the arena. He said "aww, yall are great!" and kind of did this cute laugh, like he couldn't believe there were people waiting on him!) So I guess I look like an idiot for the sake of the Richness! My sister asked HHC if he was happy to be back in VA, and he said, "Yes, I'm so excited to be back home. I've missed VA so much." So then poor Haley, gets ready to walk away without a photo, and I was like, "Haley, wait, we want a picture with you too!" She goes, "You do?" Throws her food at Chris, and was so excited to take a pic with us! I thought she was shy, but really sweet. Oh, and there were also these girls, who I think like, follow the tour, trying to give Phil a hula hoop- he seemed kind scared of them! haha! He was like, "I don't hula hoop?!" (I thought that was random, and couldn't figure that out.) So, they were like, we gotta get ready to go, we'll see ya later on. So I called Meames and told her the buses were on the move.

We got over to the arena, parked our car, and hauled it to the corner of the road where we all stood to greet the busses. This is where I met Meames, TandT, Kooshes, FedFan, and LilMeames. I also met SweetCon, SweetChas, and Kriz. I felt like the Richness outcast because I didn't have green on, but it was freezing in Cville, and I don't have anything green with long sleeves. haha! So we chatted, and waited, chatted and waited. Met Jeff the security guard (I think he's a fan of the Richness- he hung out with us - I think he hates his job! lol) Apparently the arena thought we were going to be out of control- they ordered bike racks be set up to "cage" us in. Jeff said he thought it was ridiculous! 1st out to meet everyone (there were only about 20 something ppl. there- most being Richness peeps), was Melinda. Kathy came out with her as well. Kathy is like a celebrity! She chatted with The Richness for quite a while- even signed some autographs! She said that HHC's family was having a BBQ in Chesapeake the next day for everyone- and that he was so excited to get home and see his dog. Melinda was really friendly- she took time to chat with everyone, take pics, sign things. I think she even did the C-Rich face for a picture! When my sister asked for a pic with her, she was like, "No." My sister just looked at her, and Melinda cracked up and said "I love doing that to people. Their reactions crack me up!" I said to her, "I was gonna call you a diva!" She laughed. Then we saw Sanjaya, Shamalama-whatever-her-name-is, Sligh, and Phil. They were walking down to Taco Bell or Barracks Road to get some food. They said they'd be back. Sanjaya walked around with his hoodie up, like he's some big A list celebrity that would be hounded by paparazzi in charlottesville (dude, no one cares). Blake then came skateboarding by shortly after, asking where everyone went, and said he'd be back too. So, we waited some more. That group came back, I think Phil and Sanjaya went back in (for press), said they'd be back, and Sligh, and Blake stayed maybe? (I don't quite remember the order they came out). Sligh was quiet, but I think he was still sick- not very talkative, but signed and took photos- also gave a shoutout to the Richness! We all screamed! haha! Blake also said something like, "Richness in the house!" I think everyone else waiting thought we were nuts. But we are... in a good way, of course. I think it was either Sligh or Phil who said that until someone explained it to him, he had no idea that the Richness=Chris Rich! haha! So, Blake took pics, signed things, but the whole time, I didn't feel like he was truly enjoying himself. I felt at times, he was being sarcastic with people. He was friendly with my sister, and I, and actually joked around with us, and some others too, but then there were others he just either, brushed off, or signed, took pic, and was done with. What upset me, was when he decided he was done with pictures (not even finishing the line of people), got on his skateboard and left. When Kooshes asked him to come back and sign her program, he was like, sorry, nope. I got to see like, 2 different Blakes within a matter of 5 minutes. And dude, when you're talking to people who could make or break your career, take your IPod headphones out of your ear, and at least pretend you care about what they're saying. Nothing against Blake, he's a great performer. He got everyone into the songs during the show, and I was very impressed with his looping pedal - thats talent, but you also need to reach out to those who support you. He did ask The Richness if Chris had been out yet- we said no, and he said he was going to find him, and "Punch him in the face." It was weird, because, for a second, some people were like, "Yeah! Punch him in the face!" And then Blake was like, "why do you want me to punch him in the face. I thought you liked the guy?" So then we waited some more. And even longer. Phil came out. He was so great to talk to. He remembed us from the AM at the busses. He talked for like, 1/2 hour. He teased us with a song HHC wrote- he showed it to us on his IPod- but thats all we got. He said he was moving to Nashville and making a country album. Phil is so outgoing and friendly! I wasn't a fan of his on the show, but after meeting him, talking to him, and seeing him perform live- he's great. I think I'm a Phil fan now! He also asked if Chris had been out- and said he'd tell him to come out and see us. Phil left, and we waited some more. It was like, 4:30- we were all getting nervous. Then Lil' Meames had to pee. (I'll just leave it at that! haha!)

I think it was around 5 - when we some someone skateboard towards us. There he was! His Royal Hotness. I thought I was going to die. He's amazing! He opened up all of the gifts everyone got him- and was just so like, genuinely happy and thankful for all of the presents! He took time to talk to everyone! Meames introduced herself, and he was like, "I know who you are- you don't have to tell me who you are!" (Meanwhile, we're getting great arm porn! I have pics!) TandT was standing next to me- we were both going to die! We noticed as he bent over his blue boxer-briefs! haha! and a little back skin exposure! We were giggling like 12 year olds- trying to take a picture- HHC noticed this- stood up from bending over, pulled up his pants, and pulled down his shirt! HAHA! He refused to turn his "His Hotness" necklace around so "His Hotness" was facing out, but Meames turned it around- she said his chest was HOT! haha! He signed Richness shirts- Lil' Meames made him blush, and hold back an embarrassed fit of laughter (I can't say why- I'll leave that up to someone else). Then he got to TandT- (I can't even discuss what happened here- all I can say is- TandT FTW! Censored

TandT- you win the night! You win Charlottesville. You win a prize. You're prize, is none other, than a WHISTLE! You'll have to read more about this somewhere else- but I'm not going to be the one to give this one out!) I have a picture. HHC's face during the whole event! FTW! So he chats with us- I got another pic- this time, we're doing the V-A Hands! 2 Up 2 Down. It's hilarious. I asked him if he was a Hokie or a Wahoo (VT or UVA fan) His answer- "I like them both- I actually got into both schools (or he looked at both schools), and I'm wearing a UVA shirt, and a Tech shirt tonight." Good answer- he diverted a possible debate! But that also means he's very smart in school! It's hard to get into both schools. And, those EYES! They KILL me!!!!!!! I was like, in a trance- just looking into his eyes. And oh the arms! And the back! And he smelled good too! haahah! After he went down the entire line, he talked to my sister's roommates on the phone- he told her that her phone was freezing. And I loved how he called everyone "darlin". Thats when we thought we needed a Richness pic with his hotness!

So, he's looking away in my pic, hopefully someone else has one where he's looking at the camera! But he was so great. Like, the sweetest guy i think I've ever met. He's so down to earth, and he makes you so comfortable when talking to him. His personality and character will take him so far in his career. The fact that he's just willing to hang out and chat with his supporters is great. I'm in love! haha! So, he had to leave, it was getting close to showtime. A bunch of us went down to BW3's for wings before the show- it was funny because our waiter's name was Chris. Meames and Kooshes were like, "really?! your name's chris?! thats great!" he was kind of confused- Lil' Meames said, they're excited- they're not joking!

The concert was great! The crowd was kind of lame- a lot of people just sat the whole time- my sister and i were up the whole show dancing and singing along! We had the green glow bracelets! He really does look for them- he waved when he saw them! I was impressed with everyone. I thought they all did so much better live- American Idol doesn't do them justice- the TV can ruin some voices. Chris did awesome- i think he was happy to be back in his homestate- his voice is so great live- and i love how he moves around the stage- he's so enegetic, you can tell he loves being up there singing and performing even though he was sick! Lakisha brought down the house- I got chills when she sang "I Will Always Love You." Gina can belt too. Phil impressed me. Jordin can also sing her butt off. Melinda- she's amazing. I felt like Sanjaya screamed during Hey Jude- that got on my nerves. Haley did pretty good too. I wasn't into Sligh's song at all. Blake's a good performer- I loved his version of SWBL.

It was such a great day! I enjoyed meeting everyone (The Richness peeps, and the Idols)- we had a blast! Chris is amazing- he's like, the sweetest guy in the world- and his willingness to get to know his supporters will take him far- I was so happy for him when he was up on that stage- I don't even know him, but watching him with fans, and watching him perform - he definately deserves all the success he's got coming to him in the future! To my Richness buds! I'm so glad I finally got to meet you! I had so much fun spending the day with you! We definately need to all get together again- for the solo tour!

So thats it- my day in Charlottesville! Definately great memories! I hope I didn't leave anything out! I'm sure the others will fill in where I forgot! As far as TandT goes- you'll have to check out her review! But TandT FTW! I'll give Charlottesville to ya, girl!
