Ok so this is going to be VERY long!...I just copied and paste this from somewhere else I wrote it, so it includes info from meeting all the Idols...so just skim and read whatever you want.
So yesterday was the first Chris Rich roadtrop for the Chris Rich Groupies...I had been deciding if I should go to the Bridgeport, CT concert for the longest time because I knew I would be missing three classes and that's a lot when your in college and also I knew we were gonna be doing very important things in my english class but when it came down to it I knew I had to go to support Chris, the man is VERY important to me and I wasn't gonna miss the chance to catch my last idol show, and the third to last american idol season 6 show...I have grown VERY attached to these people because they seriously are the nicest, kindest people EVER. On the show, I seriously wasn't a fan of most of the people on it, just Chris obviously and Blake and sometimes Jordin but my opinion of them all has definitely changed. I will be supporting each and every one of their careers...ok let me be honest, maybe I won't be supporting Sligh's career or Lakisha's, but that's because they haven't shown that they appreciate the fans at all but that's another story, another time...ok back to the roadtrip, so the night before I ask my parents if I can go and they say they know how much this season of Idol means to me (I always loved the show, but like this year I'm hardcore addicted!...well maybe just hardcore addicted to Chris<3)...so they said I could go...I went to my first class of the day at Rutgers and I got out around 11:30. Erin and Francis picked me up right in front of my class. We then went to my car so I could grab my purse and the bag with my Chris Rich poster and pic of me and chris to get autographed and everything else...so around 11:35 or so we were off...We had Erin's ipod on and we were listening to our Idols<3...So it took us a while to find the right road to go on but after that it was smooth sailing...We needed to make a pitstop so we went in this place in Connecticut...I bought a water there and then we were looking at all the little things they had...so we wanted to buy Chris something from there and we were debating between stuffed animals, like the B-shorty panda he has, and shot glasses...finally we just decided we had already bought two shirts for him and that would be all we would give him...so then we wanted to get Blake something so we saw this spongebob coloring book and Erin decided to buy it for him cause he reminds her of spongebob haha...it came with markers and stickers and it was such a funny thing to buy...then I noticed there was this free Connecticut book thing so I grabbed it and took it with me...while we were back in the car I realized that on the last page of it there was a spongebob ad thing and so we ripped it out and put it in the bag for Blake with the vitamin water and spongebob coloring kit
So finally we arrive at the arena and there's not many people...we decide to go buy our tickets...we ask for the best seats they have, at first they give us seats on the side and we ask for floor seats, that's when she told us they had third row available on the left side...we immeadiately said yes because we knew those are the seats where you can stand by the stage...ok so we were already on cloud nine =)...then we were waiting for the Idols to come out
Finally around 2 or so the buses pulled in and Blake comes out and just kinda waves to us, he has to be in a good mood to do the whole fan thing I guess he wasn't in the mood...whatever all I want and need to see is Ritchie boy<3...so then Phil comes out and stares my group down, he definitely recognized us from Jersey and all the other concerts we have been to, (I think all together we have been to 11 concerts, or will be cause Erin's going to both New Hampshire concerts this weekend!<3)...and he came over and signed for us and that was pretty much it...it was hard with a fence in the way to take any real pictures...so then Sligh comes out and signs for fans and this one woman is asking him to sign her boob, yea she really did and he was like no that's ok and she was like no do it and he was like I would but I have a wife and u could tell he was very uncomfortable and that's when Phil had to bail him out and made some excuse about them running late and that Sligh had to leave
So we're waiting and the beautiful sweetest most bubbly person ever comes out, Ms. Jordin Sparks...I always loved her cause she is such an upbeat, happy, positive person but after meeting her I think I love her ten times more...she was sooo kind to her fans and when she saw Francis she was telling her how she was gonna wear her shirt that day but decided not to and she was saying how she looked familiar when she saw her out the bus window...let me just say Jordin is beautiful inside and out...then when Francis gave her the picture of her and Jordin she did this happy dance thing that was sooo cute!...and she signed it with an arrow and something like "hey that's me!"...it was adorable, I got her to sign the Entertainment Weekly Idol edition with her on the cover...We told her how I was missing school and just talked a little but then the girl next to me told her that she was number 1 on z100 and she was sooo happy and then did her happy dance again...She told us about her getting sharpie on her jeans once and they were her favorite pair and she also told us about how she got her nose pierced...she made sure to get to everyone and people were asking for meet and greets and she said she would try to get them the passes and said at least they had the concert to look forward to...and she reassured Francis Puerto Rico would be fine and that at least she still had myspace there and it was adorable!...then Jordin was gone.
Next Idol up was the man I admire most in this world...Mister Chris Rich!...So he sees our Chris poster and he waves right at me!...I was gonna faint<3...He definitely knew who I was, I mean that was my fifth time meeting him...So finally he comes over and were chatting him up...He asked us how our roadtrip was which means he remembers we're from Jersey...so then he asked how long it took us to get there and we said about two hours or maybe a little more and then he asked which one of us were driving. Erin told him she was and then he asked her if she was a speedster and she was like no and then he's like so are u a granny...The words that come out of his mouth<3...Then I got him to sign a pic of me and him and without me even saying my name he goes, what do u like to be called Stephanie or Steph and I go oh it doesn't matter either or, write whatever u want and he smiles and laughs and saids ok...so he signs it Steph with love...Chris Richardson...So the girls next to me are trying to get his attention and I'm like talking to him so they're like pulling at him and he's starting to kinda somewhat get distracted but still try to be focusing on me and then Erin, whom I think is amazing, is like Chris she's trying to tell u something and he completely stops and comes closer to us and I explained about the whole myspace we made for him called the Chris Rich Groupies...we explained that basically the point of the myspace was just us showing that we would follow and support his career and travel any distance to see him perform...so we said how we have over 180 friends in 4 days and he was like wow thank you so much...we asked if he could take a picture with our little I heart the Chris Rich Groupies sign and we told him to do the C-Rich face in it...so of course I'm shaking doing it, ok I'm not nervous at all when I meet him, seriously I'm VERY outgoing with the Idols and definitely chat them up but for some reason when it comes to taking pictures and they're around I shake, so Erin points that out and I'm like oh yea cuz I have Chris Rich in front of me and he smiles. Then we gave him the shirts we bought for him...one was a green one with drums on it, very chris rich...then another one had the beatles on it, I asked if he liked the beatles and he was like I love them (duh I should have known that cuz they sing Hey Jude on tour but whatever) and then he was like I love Paul Mccartney and I say me too. I told him how I used to be obsessed with them...We snuck a note in the bag for him to read later and then we told him how Francis was moving to Puerto Rico...We then finally asked him if we could have afterparty passes (which I called backstage passes and Erin needed to correct me) and to quote him, "Oh yes totally"...He said he would be back for us...so at this point I'm totally freaking out, not only would we be getting afterparty passes, but they would be coming from Chris Rich<333... So then he gets to everybody else and he comes back and asks if we want him to sign our poster so we say yes and then of course he signs in the heart which I thought was so cute and just so Chris like. And then he is like I really want to thank you for all the support and he puts his hand through the fence to shake our hands and we all got handshakes and he gave us that look that basically saids "from the bottom of my heart I really appreciate all your doing"...I'm gone at this point, he is such a sweetheart!...He asks us where we're gonna be sitting and we tell him third row on the left and he saids he'll look out for us and we tell him we're gonna be wearing our glowstick bracelets...We told Chris that we wanted him on our side for the battle of the sides during the cake medley because if Blake was on our side we would not cheer for him and still cheer for Chris...Chris just laughed...so then Erin goes hmm afterparty passes and he goes ok let me get your name so he takes her name down and asks us if we need 3 passes which we did and then he's like I'll see what I can do but definitely ask the other Idols for them too just in case but I'll try...We were like freaking out ...then he started to walk away and I screamed I love you Chris and he turned around and smiled and then he talked to Kathy...we felt sooo good about that day...so we're all calling everyone we know to tell them the amazing news!
So Erin goes to see if the afterparty passes are there and nothing...now we're kinda getting scared but we knew that Chris wouldn't let us down...so in the meanwhile me and Francis went off and took pics by the Idol van thing with Justin Guarini's pic on it and different things like that...a little bit later we decide let's check for the afterparty passes again...the woman working there took her id and went to look, finally she comes back and is like which of the idols gave you the afterparty passes and how many did they say u would get, we told them 3 and that it was from Chris Richardson and she was like ok here they are!...we were screaming crazy and the woman was laughing at us...The funniest thing tho happened, on the thing with the passes, it said Aaron Beck, not Erin and we were laughing sooo hard and we were soooo gonna tease Chris about that but then we realized Kathy probably misheard him ..so again we're calling everyone we know...we were joking how we never wanted a concert to be over as much as we wanted this one to be...we took some pics outside the arena where there was this picture of all the Idols and Chris is wearing my fav shirt in life in that one (that yellow shirt he wore during the elimination show top 11)...we went in Erin's car for a while and hung out in the air conditioning and listened to my ipod. We touched ourselves up and just kept saying Chris Richardson gave us afterparty passes!
So time for the concert...we got to our seats and realized one of the security guys looked EXACTLY like Kevin Covais...him and the other security guard were laughing at us cuz we kept trying to take a pic of the 3 of us and we were being idiots and they were like do u want us to do it and we said no it's ok and it was sooo much fun!...we then grabbed some food and came back to our seats...we participated in the trivia stuff and we tried to send a text message for the text message screen but ours never came up =(
Alright finally the concert starts...I'll just sum up the major moments cuz this post is getting ridiculously long...so the song Let's get it started comes on and we're up out of our seats, Chris is the first one to start the song and literally 5 seconds into the song he sees us and waves to me!...He kept smiling and giving us looks throughout the whole concert and he kept giving us the squishy face look and playing into our cameras and everything...we felt the love<3...so let's forward some of this...ok so now Blake is up...and he was amazing and that's when we started standing by the stage..You Give Love A Bad Name was AMAAAZING!...so now it's the guy's band part and Blake kept messing with Chris and hitting his guitar into Chris' cymbol...But 2 awesome parts happened, Blake like starred me and Erin down and was watching us sing...literally we were less than a foot away from them since we were standing right up by the stage and we were like Blake is giving us the "I know about u girls look, he told me about you", it was awesome and then Chris kept trying to look at us through his cymbol and you kept seeing his head peak though and he would smile or raise his eyes or something to show he was sending love to us...alright now for the infamous cake moment and something that we did that has NEVER happened before...there's a bunch of videos on youtube of it
Oh but first Chris and Blake completely bumped into each other during the medley...well anywayz what happened was that when it came to the battle of the sides and Chris was like I always win this and got his side to scream we started yelling our heads off, thing was we were RIGHT next to Blake and Blake was like no and like moving his hands, he was like what are you doing and pointing directly at us...Chris started pointing at us and laughing really hard...It's shown really well in one of the youtube videos, u'll see Chris pointing at something, well that something is us and then u see Blake pointing at people, well once again those people are us...well Blake saids something like we got Chris Rich fans, can u go sit over there now and points to the other side and we were like we wish and I kinda shrugged and put my hands up and I yelled but it's Chris and we love him...and then he saids something like you can't clap for his side and then he saids something like I'm angry, then Blake saids to his side of the stage, well can u guys help me out besides you down there...and that is why I love Blake, he's a jokester and he was being playful about it and we were loving it as was Chris who was dying of laughter throughout it...and once again he sees us clapping for Chris' side and Chris points to us and laughs...that was like the best moment of the night<3
Ok I just have to make the point that Sligh was showin us sooo much love during the concert which was very weird to us because we can't really stand him at all and like he must have thought we were his fans because he kept coming by us and looking into our cameras and lookin at us and smiling and all this kind of stuff...We think it's cuz we've met him a few times and he must be thinking they look familiar they must be fans of mine but hunny we're not at all...oh and right before the life is a highway number, Chris Sligh was starring us down for like 2 minutes straight just watching us while he was getting his guitar ready...it's funny cuz everytime he would look at us for a long time me and Erin would be like Sligh's looking at us
Oh and then Chris totally almost tripped over Sligh's cord in life is a highway and he was sooo embarassed...it was cute...he had that smile on his face like i'm such an idiot and he was like laughing...it was adorable!
Then there was the "This Love" moment of the concert...as soon as I heard the music starting for this love I got my chris rich poster ready...the camera guy saw it and put it on the big screen on stage...that got me so excited...of course during the performance chris smiled, pointed and did everything else to us...Erin got him at one point on camera smiling and doing the head nod to the camera and this playful eye thing with it, it was sooo cute...and then all of a sudden I look up at the screen and there me and Erin are singing along and holding the poster up...It was awesome!!! Alright so then Jordin came out and was ADORABLE...at one point me and Erin did her famous heart sign and she saw it and tilted her head and did the aww face, then later she came back and did the heart sign to us...it was AWESOME!...ok so now the concert is over and the idol music is playing in the background and the idols are jumping all over the place...well Chris and Gina always come down to the audience and slap hands with the people by the stage, well we're standing there and Gina is like right in front of me kinda signing something for the girl next to me and I see Chris coming and it's not that I don't love Gina cause I do but I'm like I don't want her to block Chris from me...so Chris comes over and he does this cute little dance thing with Gina and then he passes me and slaps hands with Erin and realizes he missed me so he comes back and I put my arms out and he gets on this little platform thing and gives me a big hug...aww I love him<3...and then Jordin came over and gave everyone of us high fives and then she saw Francis and did the sad face and gave her a hug...it was sooo cute!
Alright now for the afterparty!...So we have our Chris passes with a beautiful CR written in sharpie on the side of it!...So we're waiting on a long line to get in, so we get there and Chris is swarmed with people but he saw us get in there and smiled and so we were like we'll go see the other idols...everyone of them are pretty crowded but Phil who has people but we love Phil cause u can really talk to him...in the meanwhile we find out Blake went to NY to do a photo shoot and Jordin is not there and same with Sligh and Lakisha and Haley...so we go over to Phil and just say hey we're back and he recognized us and knew who we were and he starts talking to us...we were saying how it's sad the tour is almost over and he said they only have two shows left...so people kept going over to him and asking for autographs and stuff and he just kept talking to us...well then someone comes over with this picture of him and Erin saids she likes it and he saids he hates it and that he's scratching his head in it and I said it's VERY modely and he's like eww it's not I hate it or something like that and then Erin saids well look at Chris' picture he's like gazing out and Phil saids Chris thinks he's a model and we say we know Phil's the real model and he's like sure am and I said that the whole bald head thing is hot and he goes it really is...and then we got a picture of the groupies with him and then we got individual ones and of course in my pic Phil does the Blue Steel look from the movie Zoolander and he was like that's my Blue Steel face, I'm a model like that or something like that and it was sooo funny!...I love Phil...we must have spent like 5 or more minutes with him, we're like were just chilling with Phil, so finally we leave and we're like so who should we go to now
Then we go to hang out by Chris and there's still some people there...his cousins from Virginia came to see him and were leaving that night so he tried to talk to them as much as possible and we totally understood...so he saw us and was like heyy ladies and we saw there were other people there and we knew that we would want good time with him so we told him we would wait and he was like alright...Erin got an awesome arm porn picture!...so finally we're like Chris we're gonna go see the Idols don't leave and he's like ok I won't
So we go over to Sanjaya and there's these annoying girls hogging him...well finally we get our turn and Sanjaya is sooo nice!...and when he takes a pic with u he really squeezes you...so he took pics with us all, we didn't even get his autograph but it was ok...and then Francis said Rainjaya (the girl Raina is the one who runs chrisrichardsonpics.com) and so Raina and Sanjaya took a pic on Erin's camera and they were like yea Rainjaya that's what's up or something like that and it's the cutest pic!
So then we went back to Chris...at this point Gina left and Melinda was about to leave but she saw us and was like hey so we went over to us and she gave us all big hugs...her face lit up!...She said to Francis she was happy that the pic of Jordin and her came out cuz Mel took it...Francis told her that she was moving to Puerto Rico and Melinda said she was going to travel there for a vaction in like 2 weeks or something like that and was telling us all about it...then Erin said she was going to the last 2 shows and me and Francis said we wished we could go but Melinda told us we would be there in spirit...I love Melinda, she's so sweet!
So finally it's time for Chris, the place was clearing out but there were still a few fans left wandering...so at this point is is his cousins, him, and these 2 other chris fans, and this girl that Francis knew from idolforums...we just hung out with Chris and gave him the spongebob coloring book that was supposed to be for Blake but we pretended it was for him...I warned him before I gave it to him that it was a joke gift and he smiled and laughed when he opened it!...we told him how we had vitamin water for him but it was taken away and security was watching it cuz we tried to steal it back for him... He said to us and I quote "You girls are craaaazy (yes there were that many a's)" and he has a huge grin on his face and then he asked us if we wanted a group pic and we said yes!..so we got a groupie pic!...then we each got our individual chris pic...it was awesome!...then we talked to him about how Blake now hates us cause of the battle that went on and Chris was like Blake doesn't hate anybody and then he said something like plus you were cheering for me and someone then mentioned how Blake isn't nice all the time and how someone asked him for a picture today and he ignored them and Chris said Blake has bad days sometimes...I told him he never has bad days and is always VERY nice...He then gave us all hugs...he started and gave me a hug and said thank you for the support and then Francis and then Erin and then he gave me another hug and I was like oh I get another one haha...and he said it to me again Thank you for the support!...ahh I love Chris hugs (so that was my third for the day!)..when he hugged Francis he said have a safe trip...then Raina came over and took pics for chrisrichardsonpics.com...Chris was being a complete goofball and like going completely Ninja on us all and it was sooo cute...then she got a recording for CRP and he basically said hey your on Chris Richardson pics.com thanks for coming and all the support or something like that and then she wanted him to read all these names that r fans of the cake forum or something and he was like that's a lot of names can I just take a pic next to it and finally after hesitation he did it and Stephanie was one of the names<3...then this really rude woman came over and was like since your just talking and I have to go cause my kids have school tomorrow can you take a picture with them and Chris was like umm okay...u could tell he thought she was extremely rude and u might not think umm okay is showing he doesn't like her but since we know he is always very sweet and would be like sure, of course, definitely but def not "umm okay"...that lady was soo rude, poor Chris =(...So then we hung out and he was talking about his myspace and different things like that and how he wanted to change his url to chrisrichardson but someone took it already...so finally the security guy was like ok it's time to go cuz basically it was us, chris, chris' cousins, and like maybe 4 other fans...so then all of a sudden I turn and I see Chris and he looks me dead in the eyes and goes Thank you for the support (that was like the millionth time he said it that day<3)...I was like aww and shook my head and gave him a smile
That was one of the best days of my life!...I got plently of time with Chris and he really does become even more amazing to me each time....The love he showed us during the concert, before the concert, and after the concert just showed how amazing he is to his fans, and just how amazing he is as a person...I love these Idols so much and I think they are the greatest people ever!...And for most of them besides like Lakisha to know who we are means everything...I am ready to completely support Chris forever because although I thought I loved him on Idol, I have sooo much respect and even more love for him after this concert because of the kindness he shows to fans and the true love he has for them and the way he never wants to disappoint anyone...He is a true class act and I love him <3 |
