Alright, so here's part 1:

Where do I EVEN begin…Ok, we shall start with my plane’s arrival into the Norfolk airport. So my plane landed and as I was walking through the airport I called meames who was my ride. As I’m talking to her we spot each other. Of course, this moment called for a mucho hug, so that’s exactly what we did. We were so excited to FINALLY meet each other in person. On our way to the luggage carousel, Meames starts telling me about the stuff we need to get done that night before we head to Charlottesville in the morning. I knew we had to get movin if we wanted to get everything done. Well, we get to the luggage carousel to wait on my suitcase and some stupid car seat broke the darn thing! So we stand there, and stand there and wait and wait some more. And FINALLY they send us to a different one. We wait even more and I’m starting to get nervous since my suitcase hadn’t come out yet, but low and behold, there it was. Phew. My suitcase getting lost was the LAST thing I needed.

So, we were on our way. First stop was at Party City to get some gift bags for our gifts for Chris and some car chalk to decorate the Richmobile. We got green gift bags and green, pink and white car chalk. Perfect. Although, we had to do some MORE waiting at Party City while they put balloons together for the person in front of us. Geesh, so far, things weren’t going too smoothly for us. Now we were on our way back to meames’ house. Her oldest son had started dinner so we figured that we’d get home and decorate the Richmobile while he finished dinner. We arrived at meames’ house and it was so welcoming! Her husband is the sweetest guy in the world. Poor meames wasn’t happy that when we got home, the front door was wide open because her son had burnt some rolls in the oven. LOL! It was all good though. So we proceeded to decorate the Richmobile. I didn’t get any pictures of it, but I believe meames posted some, so you’ll have to check those out. Next, it was dinner time! Props to geames and deames for a fabulous meal. LOL! After that meames and I whipped up a batch of Rich Chrispy treats for Chris and the fans at Charlottesville. They were complete with the awesome Richness business cards that meames had bought! Finally, it was time for bed. We didn’t exactly get to bed as early as we’d wanted, but that was ok.

The next morning, we hit the road at around 8am. As we were leaving, Mandy’s husband who I’ll call deames told us to be careful, blah blah blah. Mandy (meames) was like, “who me?” Deames said, “Well, there’s Mandy and then there’s Mandy on Chris.” I thought that was the most hilarious thing I’d heard in a long time. I called that “the quote of the day.” LOL! We were on our way to Charlottesville. The Richmobile was in full effect even with the Richness flags that Firstmate had made for meames’ car. Although, when we were almost to Charlottesville, we stopped at target to get some scissors and clear nail polish to fix the flags up because they had started to fray. Also while at Target we picked up a green sharpie and some crackers for snacks. After our stop at Target, we found the rental car place at the Charlottesville airport to pick up kooshes. She had to drop off her rental car that she had driven from Huntington. We saw kooshes and there were more hugs to be had. Hug

What a cool feeling to keep meeting all these people that I’d talked to only on the internet.

So anyways, next stop….JPJ Arena!! So, we get there and we pull into this little parking lot that Lindz84 had filled us in about. A parking dude came up to us and explained we shouldn’t be parked there, blah blah blah…we did a little flirting and before we knew it, Jeff was our BFF! LOL! He let us keep our car there. Next stop was a pee run down to the Taco Bell. We came back and decided to scope out the venue. Somehow, on our way back through we ended up in the back of the venue where apparently we weren’t supposed to be. Whoops! LOL! After that, super butthole security dude came up to us and was very rude. He told us we had to move or they’d prosecute us with “trespassing.” Whatever dude. So we moved where they told us to move. At this point, Lil’meames had arrive. And I must tell you all, she is BEAUTIFUL!! Anyhoo, not long after moving once, we get told we need to move again….and then one more time, we have to move again. Next thing we know, we get caged in. LOL! By this time, SweetCon, SweetChas, Kriz and CaliRichness had made their way down to us. What an awesome group of girls! They are just as cool in person as they are on the internet.

Now, I have to start a new paragraph for what those 4 told me about, because it just needs to stand alone. SweetConfections proceeded to tell us that Chris definitely knew who Oscar was now because THEY TOLD HIM! AHHHHH! I was freakin out. I couldn’t believe it. I’ll let one of them tell you the story of how they told him, but all you need to know is that he was so cool about it. More on Oscar later…

So anyways, we all stake claim to our spots and wait. While waiting I had remembered that in Huntington, kooshes sang the Oscar Meyer Weiner song at the thing they had set up, so she had gotten a little Oscar Meyer Weiner whistle as a “prize.” I told kooshes that she HAD to give that to Chris.  She said she probably would. Ok, so….more waiting on the Idols.

First one out was Melinda…she was an absolute sweetheart!! Definitely one of the nicest Idols. She took time out to sign and take pics with all that were there. Here’s my picture with her:

Oh, while we were waiting we had seen Blake, Phil, Chris Sligh and Sanjaya’s sister walk by to go get something to eat. They said they’d stop by on their way back. And that they did. The first one of them I met was Chris Sligh. He wasn’t super talkative but I did get an autograph and a pic with him. My autograph from him says, “Much Love to a Chris Rich fan.” I thought that was pretty cool. Here’s my pic with him:

Next up was DD himself…yep, Mr. Blake Lewis. When he got to me I was flippin through my Idol book trying to find his page. I said, “I’m sorry, I can’t find you. I’ll let you find it.” He goes, “I came in second place. I’m on the second page.” Or something like that in a really snotty tone. Whatever homeboy. Anyways, he signed it and got a pic with him. He continued to sign stuff and I asked him about his first single. He did say he still wants his first single to be the song he co-wrote with Chris. He even said they had a video concept for it already. To that, Katy (lil’meames) and I asked if we could be video hoes! LOL! Lil’meames was rubbing his arm when she asked him and he rubbed my arm back probably thinking it was her. Ewwwww. Whatever. I wasn’t very impressed with him. He wasn’t super nice to everyone as we continue to hear. And due to that, I decided to take a goofy picture with him. I warned Lil’ meames (who took the pic for me). I said, “Now, I’m going to make a goofy face when I get my pic with him, so don’t say anything.” LOL! She did great and here’s the pic:

Good stuff.

Anyways, next up was Phil. Who, I have to say, is MUCH better looking in person. I was very taken aback by how much I was attracted to him. Phil commented on my eyes and as he looked into my eyes, I was kinda like, “Wow,” because he’s eyes are very breathtaking as well. There’s just this energy or something about him. I can’t put my finger on it, but man. I like him lots more now. I got an autograph and a pic with him too. Here’s the pic:

He was so hilarious..he teased us with his IPod because he had the Blake/Chris Rich single on it. He acted like he was going to play it for us and then didn’t. It was very cute.
