I haven't shared very much about my trips last fall, but I do want to share what happened when I went up and talked to Big Mama for a few minutes before the Hampton show. She and Phyllis were there, and Phyllis was standing and talking with someone. So, I sat down behind Big Mama and we talked about what a fine young man Chris* was and all that kind of Momma and Grand Momma stuff. After a few minutes I thanked her for her time & asked her if she'd be willing to pose for a picture with me. She said, "Sure!" Then she proceeded to grab Phyllis' arm and interrupt her saying, "Hey, take our picture!"  Phyllis just looked at me. I felt so bad for interrupting her conversation. I shrugged my shoulders and mouthed, "I'm sorry." She just grinned, said, "It's OK," and took my camera. 
Here is the picture she took:
Phyllis and I looked at the picture, and Big Mama said, "Well, how does it look?" Phyllis said, "You could have smiled a little bit!" and showed her the picture. Big Mama said, "Let's do another one." So, we posed for another one. Here it is:
Phyllis and I looked at it, and Big Mama said, "Well? Is that better?" Phyllis looked at me and laughed and shook her head a little bit and said, "Well, at least your mouth is a straight line in this one."  We all laughed.
What a sweet memory. And, what a character Big Mama is! I can definately see what Chris* loves so much about her. She's a card! I wish Chris* could hear this story. He'd sure get a big kick out of it, huh?

aawww - thats a sweet story Koosh - great memories from Hampton huh? Thanks so much for sharing, and BOTH pics are ADORABLE!! You never know, Chris may already have heard the story from mom or mama  It's a possibility

AWWW Kooshes I love that. Yes she does adore Chris. I asked her after the Greensboro show if she thought Chris put on a good performance. She said "Everything he does is always good." They definitely have a mutual admiration.  I hope I have grandchildren someday.  I keep praying.

Aww {{Steph}} I know what ya mean. I have one grandson, but he lives all the way in Alaska & I haven't seen him in almost a year. He'll be 4 this month. Hand me a Kleenex, would ya?
