Hey everybody...so as some of you know already, I've got a whole lot talk about.
If you haven't heard yet, I just signed an independent record deal with Authentik Artist! It's a new company and I'm extremely excited to be worth with them. Although they are a fledgling company, collectively they have many years of experience in the major-label recording industry. I just finished production of my first single "Broken", and let me tell you, it sounds incredible. I really hope and pray that it has the same impact on all of y'all that it did on me.
In addition to what some of you have already of "Broken", I've added a string quartet (The Section Quartet - Foo Fighters, Fiona Apple, Christina Aguilera, Sean Lennon, Maroon 5, James Blunt), Live drums (Charlie Paxson - James Blunt, Enrique Iglesias, Colin Hay), live bass (Dan Lutz) and Guitars (Shaun Lopez - Far). It's really turned into a sort of epic, anthemic kind of song.
ALSO
As you may have seen on Entertainment Tonight, there was a big announcement about a HUGE show I'm involved with in Branson, Miissouri. The show is called "America's Favorite Finalists" and it's gonna run at the Grand Palace from June 20 - October 26. I'l l be doing the first 5 week run with Haley Scarato (season 6), Scott Savol, Vonzell Solomon (season 4), Carmen Rasmussen (season 2), and RJ Helton (season 1).
It's gonna be an amazing show with duets, group numbers, and each of us performing both songs we sang on Idol, and our own original tunes. Anyone who's in the area, or looking to come to area should definitely come check out the show. Make you stay at the RADISSON HOTEL - they are our sponsors and have special rates Radisson Hotel
On top of ALL THAT!!! After THAT, I'll be traveling all the way to Afghanistan with fellow Idol alums Justin Guarini, Nadia Turner, and Gina Glocksen to show our love and support for the American troops.
I've got a hella busy summer as you can tell! I'll be blogging and video blogging the whole way through. So keep checking back for more. THE RELEASE OF MY FIRST SINGLE "BROKEN" WILL BE VERY SOON....I'LL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED.

IMO none of these people are as talented as Chris(Brandon, Phil, Chris S., Haley, Gina) Someone needs to get off of their butts and realize what a great song writer and musician he is, They should have heard him singing the other night in Richmond. His vocals were right on!!

Though in their defense. These deals aren't anything to phone home about lol... Just tiny tiny indy labels. (well except Phil). I'm sure there is more in the works w/ Chris he just hasn't or can't talk about it yet.
Brandon is a lot like Chris. I've seen him perform here, yea small venues like the show you guys just went to (actually same place i saw Josh and Ernie). He just enjoys playing music, it's not about the fame or any of that.
I don't even know what an Indy label does? LOL. I'm so confused.

And that is really what Chris said the other night. It's not abot the fame, it's about doing what you love. I just want him to make it so bad. He is so talented and such an unbelieveable person as we all know.

Aww I am happy for Brandon!! I always liked him! I have to say though I am looking forward to seeing CHris SLigh he does have beautiful songs on his CD !! Well with our Chris it will be " GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT" I am sure it will be worth our wait

Good for Brandon!! He deserves a career move. He is very talented.
I will be the first to admitt I am NOT a fan of haley (sorry haley fans)!!!
I agree with GB though...
However, I have a feeling Chris has been offered but hasn't taken yet.
if we knew what labels he was interested in, we could petition them, so they know he has a core fan base... and we could get signatures from outside the richness to. Chris has a solid ammount of fans, and sometimes thats all record labels needs to know, is if their dishing out money for him, they will get it back from his fans....
On a side not I am glad Chris is taking his time, I would hate to see him going through something like blake is (and other past idol contestants).

I like Brandon too! I'm actually pulling for 12th and 11th place from last season and this season because they really do get a bum deal. The Final 12 gets talked up and they get the red carpet and the photo shoot. But be darned if you get eliminated 11th and 12th cuz you don't get to tour. 
Stephanie Edwards is recording an album to shop. I hope she along with Amanda and Dig D Hernandez get deals as well.
Chris deserving to get a deal goes without saying. So I won't even go there.

Yea, Blake's situation makes me kinda wanna cry. He worked so hard, and his album is so good, but it's not getting any love, just so many road blocks! Part of me is glad this didn't happen for Chris.
