- Carmen Rasmusen (23) and her husband are expecting around Christmas Eve.
- Paris Bennett  Is expecting in October. She's 20 and she's reportedly having a girl. Word is that she's planning on marrying the baby's daddy. ETA: Paris' mom is going to be a 37 y/o grandmother. Do the math.
- Fantasia was reportedly dropped by 19 Entertainment. They wouldn't confirm, but they would only say who they are still managing.  Sounds like she was dropped, IMO.

I heard about paris! doesn't fully surprise me because her myspace was very inapropriate at times believe it or not...

Sounds like the situation with Paris has gone full circle. I didn't realize she was 20. I thought she was only 16 on the show and that was season 5, right?
So Fantasia was dropped too. She stayed around a long time, but after that performance on Idol I don't know what the hell she was doing.

I don't understand why they keep doing Idol if they are going to continue to drop people or not keep them for a second album.

After all these people have been dropped, are there any Idol winners that are still with their orignal label? Maybe Kelly Clarkson? It's really sad that these labels don't keep an artist after the first album. I don't think a lot of the artists really get a chance to show their talents after they are on Idol and the label only allows them to do one album. The first album is usually extremely rushed after the Idol tours.
I saw pictures of Paris online last week and I thought she looked pregnant! She's only 20!

Here's the Fantasia article from EW's Hollywood Insider. It mentions some of the artists that 19 still manages:

A rep for 19 declined to comment, but assured EW that management deals for David Cook, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Jordin Sparks, and Blake Lewis remain intact. 19 also represents Annie Lennox and The Spice Girls. |

If I'm not mistaken, I think Kelly sued to get out of that contract. I could be mistaken.
To to clear things up, 19 Entertainment is a management company, not a record company. It's Simon Fuller's.
