There’s a burning tree across the street.
Weeping, burning in defeat.
Like a withering flower losing its petals
Or a bridge collapsing due to faulty metals.
Like a mine caving people within
Or a celebrity getting ever so thin.
Like a tornado ripping through your neighbors lawn
Or the controversy of having our troops withdrawn.
There’s nothing but ashes left of that tree
Just like our world has turned into ravish debris.
