Well I just got home from Baltimore about an hour ago and I think it's safe to say I'm one of the dumbest people on the planet.
Maybe I should back up. We got to the venue around 6 and saw Gina and Melinda signing. My friend got Gina's autograph and we both got Melinda's. She's such a sweetheart! I didn't get a chance to say anything to Gina since we got there like right when she went in, but she seemed very nice. I had remembered the gifts for Melinda, Jordin, Chris and Phil thankfully and got my friend to give the bags to Melinda - only because I was a couple of people back at that point and thought she was going in soon. As it was, Melinda stayed out for about 10 more minutes, signed a lot and kept running back to new people who showed up and signed/took pictures with them. But my friend handed her the bags and Melinda thanked her...and my friend is question pretty much too credit even though she didn't have anything to do with any of the stuff. A little annoyed over that, but relieved that we were able to get everything to Melinda to deliver, especially since we never did see anyone else.
We waited for about an hour after the show and no one came out. Though on a sort of funny note, we get to my car and get out of the parking garage to head home. We pull out on the road to take us to 95 South and we end up behind the buses - completely by accident, though it felt so stalkerish since we were leaving the same way. The buses got in another lane to head to 95 North and me and my friend, being the dorks we are, waved at both. We pass the second one and Katie (friend) gasps and is all, "Chris was sitting at the window! I think..."
Anyway...back to the show and why I'm an idiot. Today ended up being such a stressful day because it was one of those where it seemed like you have 500 things to do and no time. I remembered the gifts, which was good, but I had meant to include some sort of note or something in each....which I forgot. So they basically got bags of things and have no idea where they came from - not that they would have anyway, but even so. Stupid me also forgot to take a picture of all of them which I had wanted to do because all projects turned out pretty well. I was actually debating messaging one or more of them on MySpace and bringing it up - was thinking about Phil since I've actually messaged him before and heard back. But in any event...I feel like such a moron. I really hope everyone liked their stuff - I can try to describe each of their gifts if anyone is interested, I was really going for creativity and uniqueness.
That all being said, this show was awesome! Our seats were 8th row at the side of the stage, right in front of the catwalk, which led to some good pictures. I got a lot of Chris butt shots - which is funny because there were only a couple I got on purpose, he kept turning around on me. That boy is so hard to get pictures of! He keeps hopping around all over the place which is fun to watch, annoying for the camera. I do have one picture where he's looking right at the camera but it's a little blurry. This time during the Cake whose side is louder bit, Chris' wasn't louder like it was in D.C., but the cheers were very close. The crowd seemed to really like him.
Chris is so much fun to watch onstage. He sounds great and is such an entertainer, he has a great stage presence. I knew that before I saw him and in D.C. he surpassed my expectations. And here he did it again. It sounds a little funny but I'm gonna miss seeing that boy. I know at some point he'll be doing tours of his own and there'll be more opportunities to see/maybe meet him, but at the moment after my last show I'm a little side. Though I'm making it a mission to get a hug from that man before I die.
In any event, I'll have to get the pictures from this show uploaded and post any good ones for you all. For that matter, I have to get D.C. pictures up. |

Pictures are still coming, I promise. Things have been a little crazy lately due to some real life drama and I haven't had much time. But I'll try and get some up this week. _________________ ~Kim
