I just wanted to thank you for all of your prayers and kind words. I am a true believer in the power of prayer, and the Lord knows we are going to need alot of it these next few weeks. He is going to have to spend time in the the Special Care Unit at Norfolk General Hospital. Thank God we have good hospitals in this area. Josh and Amanda live in N.C and it is a pretty good cdrive fro them. since she is going to be nursing she will need to be at the hospital every day, and due to the c-section she can't drive. Of course my son has to work so I don't know what we are going to do. I don't have any pictures and am not sure when I will. Just keep us in your prayers.

Steff... Congrats on you new grandson!! you and your family are definately in my prayers!
hang in there. I am sure Triston is going to be just fine... he has all the care he needs.

Congratulations, Steff! My mom and my son are inseparable. I'm sure it'll be the same way with you and Triston as time moves on. This is a very happy time...stay positive and key your eyes UP!

Thanks Storie! He appears to be making progress. Amanda is going to have a very tough decison to make. She can stay at the hospital in a room, but the insurance doesn't cover it. Not too expensive but money they don't have. Or she can go home (about 45 minutes away) and have someone take her up there every day since she can't drive for at least 2 weeks. Please keep Triston, Amanda, and Josh in your prayers.

Oh Step, my heart goes out to Amand. I can't imagine not being able to stay with your baby. Is there a Childrens Hospital nearby? At least at a Childrens Hospital they understand the need for the mom to stay with the baby and provide sleeping areas for parents. You should look for a support group in the area, maybe they could help you out.

That's a good point, Venona. Children's Hospitals are very accommodating to the families.

Thye do have rooms 2 floors up, but they cost and aren't covered by insurance. Children's Hospital is right next door, but he doesn't need to be there. Thank God. I'm not sure what her plans are. It is a hard decision. She misses Josh and also wants to be with Triston. Josh is staying there with her tonight. He has been by himself the last 2 nights and says he can't stand it. Triston is progressing. My prayer is that he won't have to be there too long.

Well that is GREAT news! Thank goodness
he does not need to be at Childrens. It will
be tough, no doubt, to be away from the baby,
but it is also VERY important to take care of
Josh too. All men feel like they have been
replaced by the baby, and in many ways they
are right.
I am so happy for all four of you!

Just keep praying for him to improve. This is supposed to be the happiest time of their lives, and it just makes me sick when I think what has happened to them. I know Josh is sick with worry over the baby, money issues, driving back and forth to the hospital and work(which he has to go to today) I am very worried abou all 3 of them.
