Hey guys,
I have a few things I need prayer for.... I've been having a lot of problems with my throat recently... struggled with strep throat last week, and I can't seem to kick having a soar throat so I've made the decision to stop smoking at the beginning of the year. I'd like to do it sooner but I'd like to lose a few pounds beforehand since I will prob gain weight when I stop smoking. So please keep me in your prayers that God will give me the strength and motivation I need to kick this nasty habit.
More importantly, my dad has been laid off till January 5th (He's in the furniture industry) and was told he will not be getting his Christmas bonus and he got his last check of the year yesterday!  We are struggling financially as it is, now I have the weight of carrying my family throughout the holiday and New Year. 3 people on 1 income with bills is very, very tough. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers that will make it through this time and come January 5th my father will still have his job

Pink, I'm standing with you in agreement for God to move on your behalf. The bible says if two or more are gathered in His name, He is in the midst. He will be your strength in your decision for you to stop smoking.
I'm also trusting God that He will provide for your family. If one door shuts, He will open another door, in Jesus' name.

Wow Pink, that's tough. I will definitely keep you and your family in my prayers. The economy's terrible right now, but it really helps me to think about the blessings in our lives. I know you will make it through this, just trust in God! And of course I'll pray for you to feel better, and to have the strength to quit smoking!

aaww Pink, I am so sorry to hear this...of course you and your family are in my prayers...I am so glad to hear you are going to quit smoking...you'll feel so much better and it will save you money too. I pray that another door opens for your dad, like Storie said, trust in God he will be your strength, and He has given you some WONDERFUL friends on here that will be as supportive as we can.

I will pray for both thinks pink! i want to stop on the first to... great idea... we can complain about how hard it is in CHAT together haha! =]
be like those sponsers people get when their kicking a habbit =]
I am sorry to hear about your father... this year, has been crazy for so many families. So many of us are having financial problems.
Keep your head up! I am sure something great will happen sometime soon! =]

I'm sorry to hear about all that you are going through.
Thumbs up to you for trying to stop smoking. I never did it so I haven't a clue how hard it is to stop but know many people who have done it and are much older then you. Good for you!!

My dad has been laid off work for another week. His job really isn't looking good and he doesn't start receiving his retirement till the end of May. So I am supporting my family of 3 pretty much.
Also my job situation is ridiculous as some of you may know, I have a hostessing job lined up but I'd be taking a pay cut and driving 30 minutes to work which will hurt me gas wise.
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that my family will make it through this tough time and that I make the right decision concearning my job.
