David Archuleta kicked off his solo tour here tonight in Va. Beach at the Sandler Center. Melissa (green eyes) and I went. I have to say he did a great job. We all know he has an amazing voice, which he showed everyone tonight. He has really grown as a performer. The giddiness is gone. He seemed at ease and communicated with the audience. He was so excited and kept saying how he couldn't believe this was his first solo performance and his first audience.At one point he asked for the house lights to be turned on so he could take a picture of his first audience.  He did a lot from his album but also did some awesome covers, my favorite being "I'm Yours." He said that was his favorite song from 2008. He even did some dancing. He has a good band but was best at the piano. If he comes to your area try to go see him. By the way this show was sold out. We had 3rd row orchestra seats. We were so close. The first row was right at the stage and we were almost there. Anyway, it was a great show!!
