Hello to my Richness family!

As a few of you know already, I was laid off from my job this morning. It was a complete and utter surprise. Did NOT see it coming at all. I am super nervous about trying to find a new job in this crappy economy but I'm trying to stay positive. After all, I really disliked the job (as many of you also know, haha). This might be what was meant to happen. When I first heard, I cried quite a bit. I was just so shell-shocked. Then, when I got home and starting thinking about it, I almost feel this sense of relief. I honestly despised working for the woman that I worked for and I was constantly complaining about the place. So to be let go of that extra stress from the job feels pretty good. But again, there is still the stress of looking for a new job. So please, keep me in your thoughts and prayers and cross your fingers that I can find something sooner rather than later.

Thanks everyone!

Sorry to hear about your job loss tandt!  Even a sucky job is hard to lose when it's not by your choice.  I think you're right that you are meant for something else!  A job should enhance your life not make you miserable!  Here's to a better job right around the corner!   Drinkin

Well girl, stay positive. In fact, make positive thinking work for you. Imagine your "dream job". Imagine it in great detail, dream about it, write about it, and draw it into your life. Oh me of little faith, I have experienced the power of positive thinking. That being said, I spent all of 2008 stuck with part time hours, and as of 2/6/09 officially laid off. The good news is, I am "job attached", so at least for the next 16 weeks, I don't have to look for work to be qualified for unemployment benefits. More good news, due to the manner in which they figure benefits, I am receiving almost as much in unemployment as I did working part time, and we have had a whole year to adjust to less money. Oh my! Even more good news, the stimulus bill provides an additional 25 dollars and week and excludes the first 2500 or so from income. The other thing the bill has done for me, or will be doing in the next couple of months, is sending millions of dollars to Colorado for road and bridge work, which means I will certainly return to work before my benefits run out. So keep your chin up baby girl, and good things will be coming your way soon.
Big Love
