I just found out about this and wanted to pass it along.
David made this announcement at one of his shows:

To show some support for David theres 2 things that you could do:

2) you can do this, also.
Go to: http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/search.cfm?l=eng
In "Group Search" type DC=LO and click the "group search" button
Click on an unlit candle and follow the instructions from there.
Please keep David, his family and band in your thoughts and prayers right now. They will definitely appreciate it.

Storie and RL, I was thinking the same thing 
He doesn't really say in the video...he just says he's cancelling the next two shows, but hopes to reschedule them...that he's only done that once before in his entire singing career. Â I did hear that he's going to be on Idol this week...you think that's it? Maybe Steph and Melissa can tell us, they were at that show at William and Mary with CRICHFAN.

He didn't say why he was cancelling the shows. We thought maybe there was a death in the family, but we didn' t thnk it was his brother, because we don' think he would have even done the W&M show. It's hard to say, because he was farlrl upbeat during the show. I would like to know too but figure if wants his fans to know he will tell us.

i was just at one of his shows earlier in march .. i know that he and the band had been battling the flu for most of the tour, but when i saw them after the show the guys said that they thought they all "kicked it out". so i doubt that's what it is ..
there's probably personal matters going on with either david or the guys in the band, im not sure though. im going to try and look on his fansites for more info.
david is going to be on the results show on Idol this week, however his performance is pre-recorded. they're premireing part of his new music video, but he will not appear live on the show.
hope for the best!
