Not literally haha but for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program in my area. I have an interview THIS Thursday at 5:30 so please keep me in your prayers that I will do well and land this amazing oppertunity. I think this would be a great influence in my life and I'm really hoping they find me qualified to be a big sister

Good for you Pink! Anytime you can mentor and be a good influence on a child it is a good thing. That is why I'm a teacher. This will be a great experience for both of you.

Thanks yall!! Working with children is my passion, thats why I changed my major to Special Education and I've never been more excited to go back to school. So I feel this is sort of a stepping stone and trial to make sure this is what I want to do with my life but I'm 99% sure it is

Well after about a month of waiting I've finally got a little  Her name is Aaliyah and she's 8 years old! I get to meet her and her family Tuesday at 6! I'm sooo nervous so pray for me that I will make a good impression and that she will like me

So I met my little yesterday and I absolutely adore her!! She is so much fun and sooo talkitive. Plus she's a tiny little thing. This experience has already been worth it from seeing how excited she was to have a big sister. While I was there she made us a folder for us to keep all our stuff in... it was soo cute. She's been waiting for a Big in the program for 2 years. As I was leaving a little girl came up to me in the parking lot and was like "Are you Crystal?" and I said "Yeah?!" Then she went on to tell me how Aaliyah talked about how excited she was to meet me ALL day at school. It made my heart smile. We are going to the movies tomorrow afternoon
If anyone has any idea's of what kind of activities to do with an 8 year old girl, please let me know!
