Today has been a very bad day for me. My best friend Derik and I need some prayers. He came home from Iraq last year a completely different person leaning on drugs and alcohol to cope, not wanting help in any way. For awhile he stopped talking to me all together because me and the girls (britt and sam) went to his parents pleading for them to help us help him. Though it didnt work because they believed he was an adult and if he didnt want the help it wouldnt work anyways.
Finally we started talking again, and today something bad really happened. He is living with his 'friend' and consumed all the alcohol in the whole house. He was so drunk he destroyed the house and when she got home on her break he was flipping out that he didnt deserve to live that she didnt love him ect ect.
His family is with him now, and finally can see that he needs help. they are searching right now.
I am exhausted and I am so happy they finally understand what I had been saying all along.
Please pray that the treatment helps and works for him. He is the most amazing person in the world, has so much potential and is a great guy when he is sober.
I dont know what I am going to do with out him the next few months, I will be completely lost but I do know that this is something he really NEEDS.

Thank you ladies, I am having a very hard time right now because i missed his call and the only way i know how he is is though the girl he lives with which i am not fond of. she has this im the only one who should be hurt by this attitude and its really ticking me off.. i am trying my best power that to keep the peace but i am on a thin thread right now!

I am so sorry to hear this about Derick. The men that serve our country have the utmost respect from me and it is sad when they come home not able to deal with their life again.
I will pray that he gets much better and gets the help he needs. I am sure he will. It will take time, but he should get better over time.
Let me know if you ever need anything, even if it is to just talk.
