Ditto to what TANT! said. Adam just isn't my cup of tea. He belongs in "Rent" on Broadway, not at the Palace of Auburn Hills or any other major popstar venue.

Ok ... Heres my oppinion... This is my favorite top 5 i think I have mentioned that before ..not too take away from HHC but in his season I was not 100% into the final 5 ....
I love Adam and I even like his Axel Rose voice... does he go over the top? yes but a strong theatrical backround pushes that plus rock alot of times as well...however I prefer him in his softer voice with his falsetto...what has been making me skip thru is the judges and the general publics thinking that this guy walks on water... I don't like the obvious favortism in comments as well as pimp spots ect...however.. I don't really believe its Adams fault but the fault of others and I did like what he said about being honored to be up there with Kris and Danny...
I just feel this Finale would be more of a competition if it was Kris and Danny... Adam is going to have an amazing career..but one thing I have noticed when I am listening to studio versions .. I am more in Love with Matt and Kris 's voice on them ... and I don't care for Adams as much like I do his Live versions...
Danny ... I loved his arrangement of You are So Beautiful (don't care what Simon says) .... and he was amazing.. I did not care for Paulas song choice but then again I did not care for her last night at all... Total praise for one and shortened for the other too... (way too obvious)
Kris ... Hands down love his version of Heartless and just about any version he does of a song...not to mention his talent with instruments (like someone else we all know and love )... He should have gotten major praise instead of (time taken away from him for petty judges arguing).
Kara .. I was never so mad.. Don't choose a song for someone (another attempt to throw under the bus) when you know their vocal range limitations....Would have loved to have seen Gavin Degraw's "More than Anyone" or "Follow Through"... He would have nailed it ... I listened to Apologize over again and did not think he did a bad job I just don't think it was the song for him...
Anyone ever notice Randy after a performer has performed...when its Kris and Danny he is trying to interupt right away ...when it is Adam he lets minutes go by before saying anything...
Don't care for what Simon said regarding... ( it would be an upset if Adam weren't there) thought it was rude to say .... but I have felt and hope that these contestants just ignore those comments... I truely believe though that they bother Adam because I think its sets up a tension that doesn't need to exist amongst the contestants...
One never knows how it can go... I like that Kris leads in downloads...
I too am hoping for a Kris and Danny Finale but ... like I said I love this top 5 minus the judges this year.... but what will be will be

Oh man....I've missed you soo much Jan!  LOVE your recap. And that's tripped out...the thing about Randy not cutting the crowd off for a certain contestant, but doing so for everyone else.

i totally agree with you guys on danny and kris! i fell in love with kris' version of heartless! i really liked apologize, but i agree with jan, gavin degraw's "follow through" would have been the perfect song choice! .. kind of confused about paula's song choice for danny, but he worked it out! you are so beautiful was well, beautiful! lol. to be honest, i skipped through most of adam's performances beacuse i just really can't stand watching the guy. he can sing and has a lot of talent, but im sick of the lights, and the faces, and the tounge! .. i voted for both kris and danny, but im not sure if it was enough :/ but im really looking forward to jordin's performance tonight!  |

I need to hurry and DL Kris' version of Heartless. Cuz that was the junk! Loved it! I think this was the first time that a hip hop song was performed by an Idol contestant. Loved that he did that!
I really hope that the surprises keep coming from Kris next Tuesday. He's going to need all of the help in the world to beat the judges pet.
