 ..YES !!! I am so Happy and Proud for Kris... And I agree I don't think he thought he had a chance either... he even said Adam deserved it..he is too sweet and humble ... I truly think those guys were close and that was good to see 
I Loved his performance with Keith  ... I loved so much of this show .. I thought Kiss and Adam were great as well... and Santana ... just a great night!
Paulas face at the end of the night Priceless and IDK it felt almost like Simon knew ahead of time he did not seem so enthusiastic...
Not sure Kris is aware of just how great he is.. I appreciated on the pre-show some of the previous idols mentioning just how hard it is perform and play an instrument....
David Cook ...Permanent was Amazing ... and I did 
Sidenote HHC looked rather Awesome tonight ... and he is a Kris fan too 
What I could have done without was more drama from Tatiana ...oh well she really seized her moment....
CONGRATS KRIS ..... 
And from ARKANSAS .... I just know with all my HEART That AMANDA was SMILING DOWN WITH PRIDE TONIGHT !!!!

Oh and the finale has to have been the BEST Idol EVER put on...the line up and performances were AWESOME...Allison's duet with Lauper was incredible and Danny with Ritchie I found myself smiling for the Idols all the way through...they qwere having the times of their lives.
Sad note...I'm such a ditz I missed the first hour of the show cuz I thought it started at 9EST  So I missed Keith Urban  I'll have to catch it on youtube at another time...it won't be today  or even before this weekend...have CRAZY BUSY stuff happening

As happy as I am Kris won, I'm still a bit bitter that more of Secks wasn't shown aka Matty G is called Secks by Storie and I. I kept waiting for his solo performance and they did not deliver 
How does Lil get a solo but he doesnt?? 
Anyways, I thought the show was pretty good. Now I'm beyond ready for Idol stalking with my Detroit hoar Storie in August!!

What a great show, you never knew who would be out next. Adam with KISS was awesome. Kris with Keith... no words necessary  the ending "Priceless"... My faith in IDOL has been revived, our votes obviously do count or we all know who would have won..... I'm happy for both of them and David Cook was right "America can't get it wrong" they are both very talented young men. Happy Day

I was looking for Chris in the crowd and never saw him then again I didn't watch it all either.I'm tryin to find the song Kris Allen did as the finale song last night the winning song whatever on Ares which is a free music site but whatever anyway but I can't find it.I think it's called No Bounderies or something.What did you all thing of Kara and that girl inthe batiingsuit I thougth what Kara did was rude I hope she's not a judge next year

I guess part of being a member of this forum/community is agreeing to disagree on everything except HHC
I am glad Kris won, as he does not have the vocal range Adam does
but he does have the ability to make any song his own
That is talent and I hope it turns into gold for him.
My point has always been that although I am not a fan (actualy hated their music) of Robert Plant (Led Zepplin), or Freddie Mercury (Queen) I always respected their abilities.
As far as the tongue goes, if His Hotness could keep his tongue
relaxed and foward he would not have that nasal tone to his singing.
Chris could inhale helium and I would still love his singing, but like I said the tongue tense and drawn back is what causes a nasal tone. My boy Adam keeps the tongue relaxed and out to allow the sound to resonate from his mouth and throat rather than his nose. All that being said, the only songs I bought of Adams were Tracks and Mad World, the only two I would choose to listen to. It was never Adam's voice that touched me. It was the fact that he was a fat, red headed, flamer trying to be who he was in the face of a very critical world. Everything I saw, read, or heard about the boy led me to believe he was a sweet, gentle boy with (excuse my use of the following phrase) a God given talent. I saw him as the underdog since he was such a polerrizing figure.
Chris Richardson got me with his voice only. Everything else was gravy.
I bought everything five times when HHC was on the show, and I have purchased All Alone fifty-seven times since it came out, about one a week. I need counseling. Dropping that album it like it's hot wouldn't hurt either.

Putting on my admin hat on now.  Posters have every right to critique contestants on the show. However, we are NOT getting into calling out individual posters. Unacceptable. It's okay to disagree with someone, but no personal attacks.

Ven and others everyone is entitled to opinions... those opinions may change as the show goes on... But Ven you cant hate on the people who dont like adam... did you forget this:

On another note... Adam Was Glamed up all season thats why I am so excited the "under dog" won... For example Week 3 katy Perry wearing his name on her cape... WRONG... uncalled for... Finale, huge kiss entrance and everything... granted Kris sang with Keith Urban but STILL there was no need to GLAMORISE (Spelling!?!?!) Adams Solo with kiss... they could have already been on the stage behind a curtan or something... not falling from the ceiling with fire and awesome lighting ect. ect.
IMO adam is more of a see you in broadway kind of guy or an 80's rocker... not something we would hear today..
Adam would have probably had it over Kris though... if ALLISON was the one to go home week three and Danny went home week 4... I say this because Gokey fans are more apt to vote for KRIS where as Allison fans would have been more apt to vote for Adam...
