Florida's Heisman winners have something in common other than playing the same position. Spurrier's dad was a preacher, Wuerffel's an Air Force chaplain and Tebow's a missionary.
Hmmmmm doesnt hurt to have him on your side....

From someone who's not a Florida college team fan, perhaps you can help me out...I see this as a wasted trophy. Sure, he's good in college, but can someone help me out and name one Florida / Florida State / Miami quarterback who's lived up to the hype of a 1st round pick?
Definitely NOT trying to instigate anything, but this conversation came up with a friend of mine who's a Bears fan...and Grossman fan. Other than Vinny, I can't think of ANY QB from a Florida university that's made a name for himself in the NFL as a successful QB.

Cant remember many, but the trophy isnt for that. Its the best COLLEGE QB not most likely to succeed in the NFL.
Jim Kelly in the NFL Hall of Fame from Miami
Bernie Kosar and Vinny Testaverde also from the U

Tebow had a wonderful year, and congrats for winning the Heisman.
I still think McFadden, the RB from Arkansas, deserved this trophy.
But that is just my opinion .
