Did Gruden do enough to keep his job?
Did Garcia do enough to return as a starter?
Will Monte get a new contract?
Was our "D" good enough in the red zone?
Will Graham replace Williams in the backfield?
Will we draft a future QB?
Awaiting your answers...... _________________ Fan since '76.....not OLD. |

Did Gruden do enough to keep his job? Probably
Did Garcia do enough to return as a starter? Yes, but was surprised by his ineffectiveness today.
Will Monte get a new contract? He better!
Was our "D" good enough in the red zone? Not today, but for most of the season.
Will Graham replace Williams in the backfield? Probably, mainly because I think Williams is done, Ccareerwise.
Will we draft a future QB? No. _________________

Did Gruden do enough to keep his job? Yes, for a few reasons. While the final showing wasn't spectacular, he showed that he, for the most part, could adapt to his players strengths. He also overcame some key injuries and filled those positions with players that were able to contribute. Are we a perennial contender like we were in the late 90's / early 2000's? No, but we're heading in the right direction....finally.
Did Garcia do enough to return as a starter? Yes. I think the injury in Washington was more serious than anyone let on to. Garcia wasn't the same player after he returned from the injury.
Will Monte get a new contract? Hopefully, YES!!!! But also, hopefully he can get the players he needs to allow for much more pressure from teh front 4
Was our "D" good enough in the red zone? For the most part, yes. I think the playoff game showed just how important Tanard and Cato were to the defense.
Will Graham replace Williams in the backfield? Probably yes, but only because Williams is either another year away, or done. I can still hold out hope that we make a play for Michael Turner, can't I?
Will we draft a future QB? NO. We're not high enough in the draft to grab anyone that we could declare a franchise QB...unless someone slips drastically like in the last few drafts.
One question to add: Do you honestly feel that our team is heading in the right direction, or were we only the beneficiaries of a relatively easy schedule? _________________

Do you honestly feel that our team is heading in the right direction, or were we only the beneficiaries of a relatively easy schedule? When you consider the injuries we suffered throughout the season, I feel that the strength (or lack of strength) of schedule was more than compensated for. We were so depleted, but many players stepped it up and played very good football. That said, I feel we are definitely headed in the right direction. And I agree that Gruden showed great adaptability this year. _________________ Fan since '76.....not OLD. |

Did Gruden do enough to keep his job? Yes, but not necessarily an extension. Begin strong through five or six games and I'd say give him a few more years. But a five-game improvement is hardly grounds for dismissal.
Did Garcia do enough to return as a starter? Yes, but he's too fragile to be the only option.
Will Monte get a new contract? Tough to say. Raheem Morris is a rising star. It might be time to cut the ties.
Was our "D" good enough in the red zone? No. Not at all. That's the most significant difference between this D and the Bucs' great defenses. We need more of a pass rush.
Will Graham replace Williams in the backfield? Williams may not be a factor in 2008.
Will we draft a future QB? Less than 50-50 chance. We need speedy WRs, help at DE and DT, a new C, even help at CB. QB is important, but it's going to depend on who drops in the draft. |

Did Gruden do enough to keep his job? I give him one more year, then consider a new contract....IF the team performs, otherwise don't let the door hit him where the good lord split him. He adapted somewhat, but his play calling was still piss-poor in a lot of instances.
Did Garcia do enough to return as a starter? Yes, but we need to either develop McCown or get a solid back up that can be molded to replace him...he is 37
Will Monte get a new contract? I sure as hell hope so!
Was our "D" good enough in the red zone? For the most part.
Will Graham replace Williams in the backfield? I think, as was said before, it will be by committee. I do think that Williams is too prone to injury and lean more towards a Graham/Pittman combo. It remains to be seen. I loved Graham this year, but Williams was kick ass his first year on the regular squad. Even though Williams has been in the league on a practice team basis, I will be interested to see if he has a sophomore slump...or if that just happens to younger guys.
Will we draft a future QB? RIIIGHHHTT...with the way Gruden likes veteran QBs...I doubt it. _________________
