There is a lot of this stuff going around...
I had it in the base of my left lung, coughed so hard I thought my head would split, and I'm still not 100%. Of course, it's harder to get over it now that I'm OLD!! lol
Good that she's in the hospital...better there than trying to take care of it at home, believe me!!

Talked to her today. She is still in hospital, not getting better, not getting worse. She has been there since Saturday night and it's beginning to wear on her.
I'll talk to her again Friday and post an update here afterwards.

Just came in to see if there was an update on her and there it was...thanks, 57!!
It's not easy to get better...I was stuck here in the house for 8 days...some of the meds knocked me for a loop. Mine started the 7th of Jan. and I just got back to feeling like myself yesterday, the 24th!!
Tell her hi and we're wishing her a speedy recovery!!

BB went home Friday to finish her recovery. I wasn't able to take her call, she left a message on my cell. I was away all W/E and haven't been able to call her. Will try to call her tomorrow and see if I can give a good news update.

Hi all - thanks for the thread I just found this here.
You all are very sweet thank you.
It wasn't pneumonia afterall, its a lung condition - I had a simple head cold that went into my chest and just blew up - I went into complete shutdown couldn't breath and the final diagnosis after 6 days inpt was chronic bronchitis/Asthma.
Bucbaby is now on Chantix trying to quit smoking- and doing very well :) along with a lot of other meds trying to recover. I started back to work part time this week.
I will keep you all posted and thanks so much again
and 57 - on a side note - you really are special coming up to the hospital to see me, I appreciate that so much. And you just keep scoring points with ma LMAO ;)
Fan hope you are feeling back to normal soon! :)

I finally feel MUCH better...
I have quit smoking, too....after about 40 years!!
I was afraid to take that Chantix...I have a carton here at the house with only 2 packs out of it, I keep my cigarette case in my purse, and I keep 2 cigarettes where I can see them in my car. So I know I could have one but I keep myself from doing it. If I took them all away, I'd be a nervous wreck!! lol
My hubby took me out to eat Friday nite...It was my first month anniversary of quitting!!!

That is WONDERFUL! Congrats!!
I'm still fighting it, about 5 a day that I just can't seem to shake and Lord knows I'm trying.
I know 12 people that have used Chantix that it worked for and they all keep telling me it will kick in and work - I'm praying it does.

Congrats to you guys and good luck in finishing the job. I just quit chewing tobacco after 25 years. I didn't take anything...I just killed anyone that pissed me off...but it's OK, they were assholes
