I have been working on adding many different sections to the board to make it not only organized but more useful too.
If you have any suggestions, please post them under the BOARD IDEAS section. Due to the slow/manual process of activating new members the user base will grow slowly. Please be patient, thank you. |

Just out of curiosity, have you had a large number of people request membership? |

I've sent an email to all of the users that registered and I'm waiting for their reply before I will activate their account, just like I did with yours. We currently have 26 registered users but not all 26 have been activated yet. At the bottom of the main page you can see the most current count of registered users. |

I'm very happy with how fast this boards member base has increased in such a short time. I'd like to thank all of you who understand why I requested the extra steps during your board/forum registration process for security and cared enough to still signup.
I have had about 5 people try to signup using fake email addresses and I deleted their account. Currently, there are about 10 pending user accounts that have not been activated yet because they have not completed the extra steps required. When you tell other local members about this site, please explain to them that in order to try and ensure that management or others not part of our local do not enter our private board/forum, I have to require those extra steps at the very least.
I'd like to thank Dan Blair and the local leadership for allowing The Unofficial UAW 1268 Forum link to be posted on www.UAW1268.com website. If they would not have allowed this, many of you would have had no idea this board was even alive. Although, the link may not always be available on that site so be sure to bookmark/save the link below:

I'm happy to announce I bought the domain www.UAW1268Talk.com and it will take you to the forum now.
You can still access the forum through the link off the main page at www.UAW1268.com and I highly encourage it. Both sites can be a GREAT tool in their own way.
Even though Dan and the local leadership currently allow us to have a link to the forum off the main page of www.UAW1268.com, this forum is still an unofficial site and receives no union money to operate. Furthermore, some of the views found on this forum may or may not be supported by the union.
This forum is hosted using a free site and because it's free you will find ads in different parts of the forum. Clicking on these links/ads will help to insure the board remains free. Please, no thanks is needed for the time or money I put into this forum. You can thank me by making this site a useful tool, telling a friend at work about this site, playing nice and by not just viewing the posts but by replying to some of them. Thank you! |
