I went and visited the "Enhanced Fight" web site on yahoo just out of curiosity. The first post I read there was stating that more jobs are going to be cut. I have not heard anything about more job cuts. I am wondering if anyone else might have heard anything. |

I have not heard anything but my guess is no. If any, very few.
Why do I think this? Now that we seem to be ramping up the Patriot's more and more (I seen 3 go by last night) they will need the extra people for unexpected problems. As these problems get ironed out over time I would expect more to be let go.
I know in group 11 we are tight, we are short on manpower almost every night other than Mon, Fri & Sat when the part-time help is there and often short then too.
Just my $.02

Additionally, we are so tight on 3rd in paint, on Wednesday, we had team leaders working the line all over the plant. This was due mostly to call-ins, but we were short to begin with. I can't see how they could possibly cut anyone when we're running like that, but I don't make the decisions. |

We are also very short on 2nd shift, but I heard that 30 something will be let go in body by Dec. 1st, and just a lot of chatter about 100 ore after that. I know for certain that people are being told Dec.1st is there last day already. |

Wow! They actually started giving people notice at least. Usually it was a hasty meeting on a Friday, saying "Today is your last day." |

I know in group 11 chassis on 3rd we are short manpower all the time and team leaders in the group are online all the time.
Speaking of team leaders, last night I heard of more TL getting displaced. They are eliminating team leader positions and making teams larger. By doing this the bottom sen TL takes an open spot online and would mean one less ETE would be needed.
I heard the TL changes will happen in December so that makes sence that people are being told now that they will nolonger be needed come December. |

On the enhanced fight site today, it was posted that 18 employees got realieved of their duties last night. One of the stewards last night at work said layoffs are due by end of next week, and more the week after. |
