We had a fire extinguisher get backed into by a forklift blowing up and covering light bars. So they make us clean them off with water still leaving the residue on there not notifying chrysler this problem even happened. Then friday morning someone forgot to lock parts on a truck going to chrysler so here we go all the parts fly of the trailer to the ground about a 5 foot fall these were break calipers rotors and a couple other parts not notifying chrysler of the damage.. just thought u want to know.. I wouldnt buy a car from this plant i see to many bad parts going over to chrysler and half the time it is not good. so Ill update u with any other foul ups we have. What they dont know wont hurt them as the motto goes. another time another place talk to u all soon.. shouts out to Chickenman and Brian nice website guys. Well I work where those parts end up going and it isn't the first time it has happened. But I will tell you that the people in that area are some of the best people i have ever worked with. They won't put on bad parts just to build a car. We have seen bad parts that should not have been sent over and stopped the line to get good ones.
The bigger problem is that WE all need to work together to make the best cars. That means TDS, ANDROID, ARVIN and so on. So if my plant cant sell any cars that means everyone that touches something that we use is out of work.
I'm not about to have someone screw me out of the last ten years cause they can't do their job and give me the right parts or good parts to build the best car.
A lot of people know who I am and that I fight all the time for this. I have been involved with this car from the biginning and lost a lot of my personal life for my job and theirs. Don't want any thanks just for everyone to do their job the best they can. And that means management too.
I got my girlfriend a job at TDS and the stories I had to listen to hurt my head. Told her to find a different job fast.
Bottom line if everyone does the best they can and gets rid of the I don't care additude we can be proud of what we the mighty UAW 1268 build and sell world wide.
Go to work and sart thinking hey I am going to change the world today and pass that on to someone else and pretty soon we are all one.
And by the way we find pretty much all the problems that are sent from the next door and down the street vendors and fix them befor the car is built and shipped.
sorry to go on but building cars the best I can is what I do.

most of the time the workers at the suppliers notify management about a dirty part. all they tell us is that is ok and go ahead and use it. they dont want to go through the hassle of tellin their higher ups for some reason. Confused

I work by center consoles now and we find dirty consoles at least once a week if not more. All they do is bring us wipes to clean them. I don't think that they even tell TDS. We all need to open our eyes more and look at the quality of the product that we are dealing with, it will only make us better in the long run. When you put and item in the car or on the racks look at it and say to yourself "Would I want this in my own car?" If you wouldn't buy it then you need to tell somebody Team Leader, Group Leader, and even the Union Steward. Go one step further and wright down the vin and track number so that when you do get to tell somebody they can go and look at it. I know that the company wants Quantity but we really need to look at Quality. When we have Quality the Quantity will come. Just think that for every one bad part we find on the line how many more have made it out to our customers?
