Not worried - just saying that it will more than likely be much harder for him to "talk to them" like he says he wants to.
It is true, like you say, that none of them will be happy with us, regardless. I think Barak needs to recognize that. A world Caliphate is what the radical fundamentalists want - and they number in the hundreds of millions, and the number grows by the day.
Anyway, have a great weekend, funguy! A pleasure, always!

It may be harder to "talk" to them rather than "bomb" and "kill" them like the present administration continues to do.
"Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God".
I don't agree with Obama on 95% of what he stands for but on this issue I really don't understand why he's been criticized and ridiculed in the media.
This is just one small piece of the much larger issue of the fake "war on terror" that only results in us losing more of our freedoms everyday. I digress. |

I never quite understood calling this response a "war on terror." Terror is a tactic. You don't war against a tactic. Those currently using this tactic against the West are mostly self-described Islamicists from many countries. Their rallying point is the Koran and the Hadiths (recorded sayings of Mohammed).
They believe that Islam must rule the earth, and until it does, Allah is displeased with those Muslims who will not fight and die for it to come about. For those who do fight and die - there is a great sensual reward, complete with 72 dark eyed virgins (nothing said about a female martyr's reward).
I ponder a few things these days - had Clinton & Bush not ignored these Islamicists and their attacks before 2001, would we have had a 9/11?
How many people killed on 9/11 thought we should talk with these people and work something out?
Who are the victims of the coming 9/11s when we go back to ignoring the Islamicists? |

Perhaps you should ponder a few more things?
Why do they seek to attack us? Is it because we are free and they hate our freedom like Bush and his cronies would have us believe? Or, is it blowback due to an invasive U.S. foreign policy on Muslim holy lands such as installing the shah in Iran or always siding with Israel? Michael Scheuer, head of the CIA's Bin Laden unit before the attacks, wrote all about blowback in his book.
How much safer are we after 9/11?
Our borders are wide open. Our ports and cargo that come in are still basically unchecked, while domestically here on the homefront federal powers are expanding at the greatest rate in the history of our Republic. Warrantless wiretaps, the suspention of Habeus Corpus, invasive airlines, legalized torture, etc. have all been enacted in the name of the War on terror.
We are too quick to give up our liberties that are guaranteed by our Creator in order to feel safe.
So if Al CIAda hated us because we were free they won because their subsequent attacks have led to the dimise of the land of the free! |

They don't hate us because we are "free" or "different," they hate us because we are not Islamic. Only two things will change that (neither of which is likely). One is if we all become Muslims, the other is if they cease to be Fundamentalist Muslims themselves.
According to the Bible, being a friend of Israel is one of the few things we've done right.
Isaiah 60:12"For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you (Israel) will perish; it will be utterly wasted." |
